Tottenham moved back into the top four with a 3-0 victory over Leeds at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Saturday's early kick off.

Leeds had enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges, but found themselves behind after 29 minutes when Ezgjan Alioski was penalised for a clumsy foul on Steven Bergwijn in the visitor's box. Harry Kane made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Spurs doubled their lead on the stroke of half time, Kane and Son Heung-min combining and the latter deftly stroking home.

The hosts put the game beyond Leeds' reach five minutes into the second half as Toby Alderweireld headed Son's corner past Illan Meslier. Matt Doherty saw red for Spurs for a second bookable offence in stoppage time, but this was the only negative in a very good afternoon for Jose Mourinho's side.

Let's get into some player ratings.

TOTTENHAM

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Hugo Lloris (GK) - 6/10 - Comfortably held a couple of Bamford efforts but otherwise had very little to do.

Matt Doherty (RB) - 5/10 -
Made a good, last-ditch recovery tackle to keep out Harrison in the first half. Looked as if the Leeds winger was going to give him a tough afternoon during the early exchanges, but Doherty largely got the better of him. Was sent off in second-half stoppage time for a second bookable offence.

Toby Alderweireld (CB) - 7/10 -
Grabbed Spurs' third by escaping the attentions of Phillips and sending a low header past Meslier.

Eric Dier (CB) - 7/10 -
Solid defensively and composed in possession, bringing the ball out from the back to great affect on a couple of occasions.

Ben Davies (LB) - 7/10 -
Rarely marauded forward but turned in a thoroughly impressive defensive display.

2. Midfielders

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CDM) - 8/10 - Waltzed into the Leeds box and caused chaos with a dangerous low cross after the half-hour mark. Won possession in the Leeds half before feeding Kane in the build up to Spurs' second. His reading of the game was integral to Spurs' strong defensive display.

Harry Winks (CDM) - 7/10 -
Really solid midfield partnership with Hojbjerg, crucial to a solid defensive Spurs performance. Neat and tidy in possession too.

Tanguy Ndombele (CM) - 6/10 -
Almost grabbed Spurs' third with a sweetly struck effort that was well saved by Meslier. Showed flashes of quality with his mesmerising quick feet on a couple of occasions.

3. Forwards

Son Heung-min (LW) - 8/10 - Raced in behind the Leeds back line all afternoon and was rewarded on the stroke of half-time, deftly guiding Kane's delivery past Meslier, before providing the cross for Spurs' third.

Harry Kane (ST) - 8/10 -
Sent a ferociously struck effort from close range just over inside the first 20 minutes. Opened the scoring from the spot, sending his penalty straight down the middle, before teeing up Son for Spurs' second with a pinpoint, low cross from deep.

Steven Bergwijn (RW) - 6/10 -
Dragged an effort well wide in the first half, but won the Spurs penalty by spinning Alioski and drawing a foul from the Leeds full-back. Blazed over a golden chance in the first half after a terrific turn in the box, and was kept out by a great Meslier save in the second.

4. Substitutes

Moussa Sissoko - 6/10

Lucas Moura - 5/10

Carlos Vinicius - N/A

5. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Illan Meslier (GK) - 6/10 - Conceded possession with a loose pass in the buildup to Spurs' penalty. Produced a selection of great second-half saves to keep out Ndombele, Bergwijn and Kane, but was beaten by Alderweireld's header.

Stuart Dallas (RB) - 6/10 -
Mopped up well at the back on a number of occasions as Spurs attempted to get in behind the Leeds back line. Carried the ball out well from defence and got forward adventurously.

Luke Ayling (CB) - 6/10 -
Typified Leeds' approach; brave in possession, sometimes to great affect, while sometimes it was loose and led to his side surrendering possession in dangerous areas. But he wasn't afraid to try it time and time again.

Pascal Struijk (CB) - 6/10 -
Brought the ball out from the back well but occasionally struggled to deal with the movement and energy of Son and Kane.

Ezgjan Alioski (LB) - 5/10 -
Slammed an effort into the side netting inside the first five minutes - one of many adventurous forays forward from left-back. Conceded a penalty for a clumsy challenge on Bergwijn from which Spurs took the lead.

6. Midfielders

Kalvin Phillips (DM) - 6/10 - Produced a big tackle to keep out Dier in the first half as the Spurs man lined one up inside the Leeds box. Typically good in possession and robust defensively - but question marks over his marking for Spurs' third.

Mateusz Klich (CM) - 7/10 -
Slipped Alioski through during the opening exchanges with a neat pass from the edge of the area. Klich's link up play was smart and intricate, sending Rodrigo away in the first half with a lovely flick.

Rodrigo (CM) - 5/10 -
Failed to make clean contact with a close range first-half effort after being played through by Klich. Replaced just after the hour mark.

7. Forwards

Rafina (RW) - 6/10 - Sent in a delicious, curling delivery in the first half, from which Bamford headed a good chance over.

Patrick Bamford (ST) - 6/10 -
Couldn't quite get over a curling Rafina cross, sending a close range header over in the first half and fired a half chance straight at Lloris. Moments later, Spurs doubled their lead. Looked sharp, and his link-up play was particularly good in the first half.

Jack Harrisson (LW) - 5/10 -
Bent a well-struck effort from the edge of the box narrowly over on the stroke of half-time. Replaced just before the hour mark.

8. Substitutes

Ian Poveda - 6/10

Jamie Shackleton - 5/10

Pablo Hernández - 6/10
