Inter maintained their impressive winning run on Sunday afternoon, sneaking to a 2-1 victory over relegation-threatened Torino in Turin.

Il Toro went toe to toe with their visitors in the first half, and they even had the best opportunity of the opening 30 minutes, with Lyanco hitting the post with a close-range header from a free kick. But that was it in a slow first half for the league leaders.

Inter were sluggish in the second half, but they were handed the perfect opportunity to take the lead when Lautaro Martinez was clipped in the penalty area, and Romeu Lukaku rolled home the resulting spot kick.

But Torino fought back, and while I Nerazzurri were too busy complaining about non-existent fouls in the penalty area, Antonio Sanabria was well placed to slot the ball beyond Samir Handanovic.

I Nerazzurri showed their character in the dying minutes, as substitute Alexis Sanchez whipped a delightful cross into Martinez's path, and the forward did brilliantly to head the ball back across goal and into the bottom corner of the Torino net, sealing all three points.

Let's check out the player ratings from a huge afternoon in Turin.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Samir Handanovic (GK) - 6/10 - Had few saves to make in the first half, but was beaten all ends up by Lyanco's header. Thankfully, the post came to his rescue. Unsighted for the equaliser, having made the initial stop.

Milan Skriniar (CB) - 6/10 -
Kept Torino's threat to a minimum on that flank, and carried the ball into opposition territory when in possession. Flashed a header wide at the start of the second half. Didn't seem too interested in stopping Torino's equaliser.

Stefan de Vrij (CB) - 7/10 - Produced a couple of nice blocks to spare Handanovic from getting his gloves dirty. As always, the best of the back line.

Alessandro Bastoni (CB) - 6/10 - Slipped on the turf and allowed Lyanco to get his header away all too easily, and was lucky to see the woodwork throw itself in the way.

2. Wing-backs & midfielders

Achraf Hakimi (RWB) - 6/10 - A nice chance opened up on the edge of the box, but he pulled his shot wide of goal. That final ball just let him down on a few occasions. Saw another shot saved excellently.

Nicolo Barella (CM) - 7/10 - Lightning fast when reading dangerous situations, and won the ball back countless times for his teammates. Too busy trying to earn a free kick than actually stop the equalising corner.

Marcelo Brozovic (CM) - 7/10 - Caught napping in possession once or twice by a particularly spirited Torino midfield. Looked more in control with a confident ballplayer next to him.

Roberto Gagliardini (CM) - 5/10 - Replaced Christian Eriksen in the midfield, but didn't show the guile or creativity needed to unlock this stubborn back line. Sacrificed to allow the Dane to enter the fray.

Ivan Perisic (LWB) - 6/10 - Often left frustrated by his teammate's inability to pick him out when completely free on that left-hand side. Starved without that service of Eriksen. Not given much chance to make an impact and was subbed before the hour mark.

3. Forwards

Lautaro Martinez (ST) - 8/10 - Missed Inter's only great opportunity in the first half, and another didn't come along for a while. Won the penalty for Inter to take the lead. Showed unbelievable technique to head the ball back across Sirigu and into the net for the winner.

Romelu Lukaku (ST) - 7/10 - Proved his worth in his own penalty area, clearing off the line to deny Torino a first-half opener. Stroked home the penalty without a fuss.

4. Substitutes

Ashley Young (LWB) - 7/10

Christian Eriksen (CM) - 7/10

Alexis Sanchez (AM) - 8/10

Matias Vecino (CM) - N/A

Matteo Darmian (RWB) - N/A
