It's been three weeks since the National Women’s Soccer League kicked off and players have wasted absolutely no time in scoring world-class goals.

The league improves with every passing year, culminating in the most competitive matches yet. Orlando City currently leads with ten points in four matches, while on the other end Kansas City stands with only two points after failing to secure a win.

USWNT star Alex Morgan leads the league with four fantastic goals scored in four matches. Standout player Sophia Smith follows Morgan with two goals, thriving in her first NWSL season. The following is a guide of the season’s top five goals thus far, ranked.

5. Kealia Watt vs Kansas City

A stunning run by Mallory Pugh from inside her own half set up Kealia Watt to perfectly position herself on the right before rocketing the shot straight into the back of the net for the phenomenal goal.

She manipulated the ball to curl and reach the opposite back post.

4. Christine Sinclair vs OL Reign

After a bad clearance from goalkeeper Karen Bardsley, Christine Sinclair volleyed the ball right back into the net with a phenomenal curve in just one motion.

Bardsley attempted to return to the goal in time, but the player’s finish was too perfect to stop.

3. Emina Ekic vs Washington Spirit

The hometown player Emina Ekic stunned audiences after warding off several defenders before taking the shot.

She changed the course of the game after picking out the perfect pocket of space and striking the ball past goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe.

2. Sophia Smith vs Chicago Red Stars

This is the player’s first season in the NWSL and she’s already making waves.

Sophia Smith proved fast on her feet after receiving the ball from teammate Morgan Weaver and taking the shot for the win.

1. Alex Morgan vs Portland Thorns

Alex Morgan did it again with a stunning strike against the Portland Thorns.

After a great pass by teammate Taylor Kornieck, Morgan let the ball bounce once before hitting the half-volley perfectly into the top left corner. She is unstoppable this season as Orlando leads the league.
