Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has clamed Bayern Munich are the favourites for Sunday night's Champions League final due to their superior big-game experience.

Tuchel's side reached their maiden Champions League final following an impressive 3-0 victory against a seemingly overwhelmed RB Leipzig side last Tuesday.

Bayern, meanwhile, saw off Lyon to reach the final. Hansi Flick's side have been touted as the finest side on the continent by many, but their glaring flaw - a suicidally high defensive line - means the pacy French champions will fancy their chances on Sunday.

Nevertheless, PSG's german string-puller still makes the Bavarians slight favourites for Europe's showpiece event.

"Bayern have the advantage of being accustomed to playing these big games," he said (via Marca). "They're a great club. It's not a small advantage, but it's not decisive either. It's a great challenge to take on Bayern, but we deserve to be here.

"They have individual quality, but there is always space and there are always solutions. We have to find a mix between playing with freedom, with confidence and finding opportunities.

"The final isn't the time to make big changes, so we'll prepare for it like we did against [Borussia] Dortmund, Atalanta, and [RB] Leipzig."

The PSG boss was also quizzed about any injury concerns ahead of the final, to which he seemed to confirm that he'll have a full squad available.

The fitness of Marco Verratti, in particular, is set to be a major talking point and despite the Italian's supreme talent, the form of Leandro Paredes in Lisbon means Tuchel has an incredibly tough call to make in regards to his starting midfield three.

"[Marco] Verratti and [Idrissa] Gueye have been training with us for the last few days and both are available," the German confirmed.

"It's a little different for Keylor [Navas] though. He'll try [to train] and then we'll make a decision.

"Verratti can play, but it's a matter of pain. His injury isn't muscular, he was on the end of a painful blow, but now he feels good and is training without any problems.

"He's available but for 90 or 120 minutes would be difficult. We'll decide if he starts or finishes the game."
