The Tottenham lineup that should start against Fulham

Tottenham will look to end their fixture list for 2020 in style with the visit of Fulham in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Jose Mourinho's side have claimed victory in just one of their last six top flight outings and go into the midweek contest less than three days after more points were dropped away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

However, the north Londoners have been afforded a kinder schedule than most - with the luxury of more than 70 hours between successive kick offs - which should ensure Mourinho can avoid the rotation which has been to the detriment of other sides at this time of year.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Hugo Lloris (GK) - A Premier League ever-present who, at the tender age of 34, is back to his best.

Serge Aurier (RB) - Having been left out of Tottenham's last two fixtures, Aurier may very well return to the side well rested and - hopefully - with a cooler head after an all-too familiar penalty concession against Leicester City last time out.

Eric Dier (CB) - Mourinho hasn't overseen a match without his fellow Portuguese speaker since late October and is unlikely to start any time soon.

Toby Alderweireld (CB) - The Belgian's booming long balls will give Tottenham another route of attack against a Fulham team enjoying an uncharacteristically parsimonious run.

Sergio Reguilon (LB) - Tottenham may look to harness the jet-heeled Spaniard's attacking impetus to pierce a newly reinforced right flank for Fulham, bolstered by the diligent tracking back of striker-turned-wing back Bobby Decordova-Reid.

2. Midfielders

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) - The Danish midfield dynamo is unlikely to lose his status as the only outfield player yet to miss a minute of Premier League football for Tottenham.

Moussa Sissoko (CM) - Following a rare start on the bench against Wolves, Sissoko's dexterous and industrious style will be a welcome return to midfield.

Tanguy Ndombele (AM) - Fresh from his third goal of the season and off the back of another performance bursting with guile and gusto, Ndombele probably won't finish the match, but he should start it.

3. Forwards

Erik Lamela (RW) - After a cameo appearance following a lengthy calf injury on the weekend, Lamela could be granted his first start since the opening day of November.

Harry Kane (ST) - Is there a Premier League match Mourinho would deem unworthy of Kane's presence? So far, the answer has been a resounding no.

Son Heung-min (LW) - Together with the team's aforementioned talisman, Son and Kane account for a sickening 77% of Tottenham's Premier League goals. How can either of them be left out?
