Manchester United host historic rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on Thursday, in what will be their third game in five days.

The game was originally slated to take place on Sunday, 2 May, but fan protest against the Glazer's ownership of the club forced to the game to be postponed and rescheduled. It has also forced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's hand in terms of rotating his players, with 10 changes made on Tuesday during the 2-1 defeat to Leicester.

His heavy hitters are likely to return against Liverpool, looking to avenge United losing their unbeaten run against the Foxes - the Old Trafford loss was their first defeat in 15 Premier League games.

Here's how Ole should lineup his side to overcome the club's fiercest rivals..

1. Goalkeepers & Defenders

Dean Henderson

Dean Henderson (GK) - David de Gea played against Leicester on Tuesday, but Henderson is the preferred number one and should come back in to face Liverpool.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) - Having an excellent season defensively and no one at United has made more tackles than his 85 in the league.

Victor Lindelof (CB) - Has shown good form of late and needs to step up in the absence of Harry Maguire.

Eric Bailly (CB) - Maguire will likely miss the rest of the domestic season so Bailly has big boots to fill. The Ivorian obviously adds pace to the United defence, but can he replicate the skipper's authoritative presence?

Luke Shaw (LB) - Another United man who's having a sensational campaign. Has turned into a big player for Solskjaer and will surely replace Alex Telles in the starting 11.

2. Midfielders

Fred (CM) - Rested on Tuesday night against Leicester so Fred should be relatively fresh. Will have to be on high alert to stifle the impact of Thiago, who scored his first Reds goal against Southampton recently.

Scott McTominay (CM) - Hasn't scored or assisted in 16 appearances but brings a dynamism and energy to the team that few others can.

Bruno Fernandes (AM) - One of the best players in the world on his day and is the big game play for United. Will look to add to his unbelievable haul of 43 goal contributions for the campaign on Thursday.

3. Forwards

Edinson Cavani

Marcus Rashford (RW) - No goal in his last seven outings but the boyhood United fan will relish his opportunity to add to his 20 strikes for the campaign against Liverpool. Mason Greenwood probably needs a rest, also.

Edinson Cavani (ST) -
Could be a little fatigued from some exceptional showings of late, but eight goals and two assists in his previous eight appearances shows why he's been handed a new one-year deal.

Paul Pogba (LW) -
Has been excellent in recent weeks and really makes an impact from the left. Five goal contributions in his last nine.
