Manchester City travel to the London Stadium on Saturday to face West Ham United.

Pep Guardiola's side are yet to hit their peak this season, picking up seven points from their opening four games. They currently sit in 11th place, although they have played one game fewer than most. A win at the weekend could take them as high as third, although they'd need several results to go their way.

They have, however, performed well outside of the league, reaching the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup and defeating Porto in their opening Champions League group stage game. However, this won't be enough to satisfy the watching fans, who were expecting a revitalised title charge this year.

On Saturday, they face a West Ham side in high spirits. After opening with two losses, the Hammers have picked up seven points from their next three, emphatically seeing off Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City before pulling off an incredible comeback against Tottenham Hotspur.

Here is the Man City XI that could start against West Ham.

1. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Ederson (GK) - Barring any last-minute accidents, Ederson will wear the gloves once again for the Cityzens. He is set to make his 150th appearance for the club this weekend.

Kyle Walker (RB) - The 30-year-old is also in line for his 150th Man City outing. Walker made a fantastic goal line clearance to deny Porto a second goal on Wednesday.

Ruben Dias (CB) - Arriving from Benfica for a massive £65m fee in the summer, Ruben Dias looked every bit the part against Arsenal last weekend. Guardiola will be hoping for more of the same.

Eric Garcia (CB) - With Aymeric Laporte, Nathan Ake, and Fernandinho all doubtful, 19-year-old Eric Garcia will probably make his 15th Premier League appearance.

Joao Cancelo (LB) - Benjamin Mendy is out, so it will likely be Joao Cancelo in the left-back spot again, having played there in City's last two fixtures.

2. Midfielders

Rodri (CM) - Fernandinho's likely absence leaves Rodri as Guardiola's only available DM. The former Atletico Madrid man has made 59 appearances since coming to the Etihad last summer.

Ilkay Gundogan (CM) - The German's fantastic free kick against Porto set the Cityzens on their way to victory in the Champions League. This may be enough for him to keep his place in the starting XI.

Phil Foden (CM) - Premier League Player of the Year Kevin De Bruyne is expected to miss out through injury, so it could be up to youngster Phil Foden to provide the creative spark on Saturday. The 20-year-old has recorded three goals and one assist so far this term.

3. Forwards

Riyad Mahrez (RW) - The twinkle-toed Algerian made his 100th appearance in a Man City shirt in mid-week. In those 100 games, Mahrez has netted 26 goals and won five trophies.

Sergio Aguero (ST) - After a lengthy lay-off, City's all-time top goalscorer is back in contention. Aguero netted his first goal March on Wednesday - converting a penalty after Raheem Sterling was brought down.

Raheem Sterling (LW) - The former Liverpool winger is the club's top scorer so far this season with four. On his last visit to the London Stadium, Sterling bagged a hat-trick in a 5-0 opening day win.
