The Germany Lineup That Should Start Against Turkey

International football awaits us. Amid all the outside ongoings, somehow we're still playing football overseas.

Friendlies are taking place before the second batch of Nations League matches (already) this season, with some of Europe's big hitters in action.

On Thursday, Germany host Turkey at the RheinEnergieStadion looking to start the domestic break off with a bang. There is scope for some experimentation in this clash, so here's how they should line up.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Bernd Leno (GK) - Manuel Neuer and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are the best Germany have, but expect Leno to get a chance to stake a claim in the national side to give Neuer a rest while Ter Stegen is injured.

Benjamin Henrichs (RB) - Having started the season well with current loan side RB Leipzig, Joachim Low will want to bed in some youngsters against Turkey and the in-from Henrichs could earn a spot.

Robin Koch (CB) - Leeds' new central defender is starting to stake a claim in the national side, and should keep his place on Thursday.

Niklas Stark (CB) - Earning his only senior Germany cap last season, Stark has wrestled his way back into the squad and will be given the chance to shine.

Nico Schulz (LB) - One of the more experienced members of Die Mannschaft's youthful side, Dortmund full-back should make his 11th international outing.

2. Midfielders

Jonas Hofmann (CM) - Yet to make a Bundesliga appearance this season, Low will still want to shake up his lineup for Thursday, with Hofmann getting a chance from the off.

Nadiem Amiri (AM) - He hasn't made the impact at Bayer Leverkusen that he wanted to since joining from Hoffenheim, but Amiri still has bags of ability.

Florian Neuhaus (CM) - With plenty of players missing through injury or otherwise, Neuhaus is on course to make his Germany bow.

3. Forwards

Julian Draxler (RW) - Having been on the cusp of leaving PSG last window, Draxler has fought his way back into contention and scored two goals in the league already.

Luca Waldschmidt (ST) - Benfica's summer signing has got the season off to a solid start since moving from Freiburg, putting him in a strong position to make his first national appearance of the year.

Kai Havertz (LW) - Yet to get off the mark for Chelsea in the Premier League, Havertz still boasts an excellent record with the German national team.
