To say the 2020/21 season has been a bit of a weird campaign in domestic football would be something of an understatement.

As if playing in empty stadiums isn't weird enough, some of the teams who've become accustomed to dominating their domestic leagues haven't had it quite so easy.

Bayern Munich were made to work much harder than they usually would to become champions of their respective leagues, while Juventus and Celtic have already handed over their crowns.

While some massive clubs have struggled, others have enjoyed their usual procession to the title and some have even pulled an absolute rabbit out of the hat in claiming top spot.

Here's a look across some of the biggest leagues in Europe at who's already been crowned champions...

1. Inter

This season was always going to be a tough one for Juventus as they settled into life under rookie boss Andrea Pirlo, but we're not sure many saw Antonio Conte's Inter turning into a winning machine to knock them off their perch.

City rivals Milan had looked decent in the early part of the campaign, but Inter recovered after a rocky start and have been unstoppable for most of the season.

Atalanta's inability to beat Sassuolo at the beginning of May meant I Nerazzurri could not longer be caught as they secured their first Scudetto since 2010.

2. Rangers

Steven Gerrard has transformed Rangers since arriving at the club in 2018 and this year he finally knocked Celtic off top spot.

The Gers have been in scintillating form this season and are yet to be beaten in their 36 league outings - picking up 30 wins and six draws.

Their last 16 exit from the Europa League at the hands of Slavia Prague will no doubt linger in the back of Gerrard's mind but nobody can deny how good a job he's done at the club.

3. Norwich

Here we go again.

If the FA could just make a mini league in between the Premier League and the Championship then it would be perfect for Norwich.

You could never accuse the Canaries of being boring because pretty much every season they end up being relegated or promoted, and following their relegation from the Premier League last season it was their turn to stroll to the Championship title - which they secured with a thumping 4-1 win over Reading in early May.

4. Zenit Saint Petersburg

Zenit Saint Petersburg made it three consecutive Russian Premier League titles this season with the goals of Sardar Azmoun and Artem Dzyuba firing them to glory.

Their performance away from the league this season has been pretty poor having been knocked out of the Russian Cup at the last 16 stage and finishing bottom of their Champions League group with just a single point, though their title as champions of Russia never looked in doubt.

5. Dynamo Kyiv

For the last four seasons Dynamo Kyiv have been forced to watch on as Shakhtar Donetsk dominated the Ukrainian Premier League, with second place finishes beginning to feel very familiar.

However, this season they've wrestled back their crown after suffering just one defeat all campaign - at home to Shakhtar funnily enough - and they stormed to victory.

6. Ajax

If you've not seen the videos of the Ajax team celebrating their Eredivisie triumph with their fans then they're definitely worth a watch.

The Dutch giants were denied the opportunity to notch back-to-back top-flight titles last season after the Eredivisie was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, though they've made up for that this season by running away with the league and they're 14 points clear with three games still to play.

7. Olympiacos

Pedro Martins' side have already made it consecutive titles as they steamrolled their way through the Greek Super League.

Olympiacos clinched their 46th title in the best way possible with a 3-1 victory over rivals Panathinaikos, sealing top spot with seven games of the season still to play.

8. Young Boys

Young Boys are another side who've absolutely dominated their domestic top flight this season, losing just one games so far.

They acquitted themselves relatively well in Europe as well having the suffered the early disappointment of being knocked out of the Champions League in the third qualifying round.

Gerardo Seoane's men made it all the way to the last 16 of the Europa League where they were comprehensively beaten by Ajax 5-0 on aggregate.
