Arguably the greatest goalscorer in the history of football, Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the best to ever play the game.

During his years at Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, the Portugal legend has racked up over 650 club career goals and won every major trophy available to him at club level.

Out of the 158 teams he has played against in his career, Ronaldo has scored against 117 and made it almost a given against some sides.

Here we look at his top 30 favourite opponents throughout his competitive club career.

30. Borussia Dortmund (7 Goals)

Ronaldo is the all-time top goalscorer in Real Madrid and Champions League history, and added to both of those tallies when he came up against Borussia Dortmund.

29. Real Mallorca (7 Goals)

Ronaldo scored an incredible 44 hat-tricks for Real Madrid during his time at the club, but the first one he ever netted came against Real Mallorca back in 2010.

28. Real Zaragoza (7 Goals)

Ronaldo won six of his seven appearances against Zaragoza for Real Madrid and netted a hat-trick in 2011.

27. Eibar (7 Goals)

Another team that Ronaldo suffered defeat against, the Portuguese machine scored three times against them in the 2014/15 season, including a scorcher of a free-kick.

26. Almeria (7 Goals)

Ronaldo scored a stunning solo goal against Almeria in 2010 during his debut season with Los Blancos, the first of seven in seven games.

25. Wigan (7 Goals)

Ronaldo always loved a strike against Wigan and notched a record-equalling 31st league goal as Manchester United won the Premier League in 2008, just days before scoring in the Champions League final in Moscow.

24. Schalke (7 Goals)

Another Champions League opponent that fell to the feet of Cristiano. Ronaldo scored this screamer en route to Real Madrid's Champions League triumph in 2017.

23. Elche (7 Goals)

Seven goals in three games is an absurd record for anyone, but even for Ronaldo. He got four goals in a 5-1 win in 2014 to boost his stats but scored in every game he played against Elche.

22. AS Roma (9 Goals)

Ronaldo's record against Roma was impressive even before he joined Serie A, scoring twice in United's 7-1 win in 2007 before a bullet header in 2008 too.

21. Aston Villa (9 Goals)

Ronaldo always turned up against Aston Villa, but no occasion was more important than his two goals to help the Reds come from behind en route to a classic win and another Premier League title.

20. Bayern Munich (9 Goals)

A heavyweight clash no matter who Ronaldo was playing for at the time, but he delivered more often than not. Most fondly remembered by Bavarian fans for his hat-trick in the quarter-final as Madrid landed number two of their three-peat in Europe.

19. Ajax (9 Goals)

Another opponent, another hat-trick for CR7. Ronaldo scored a hat-trick at the then named Amsterdam ArenA in the group stages of the Champions League in 2012. He scored in both his games against them for Juventus too, but was on the losing side of the knockout tie.

18. Tottenham (10 goals)

Most of Ronaldo's games against Spurs came before he was the goalscoring phenom he became, but that didn't stop him putting together an impressive record against the north Londoners. That includes a brace as the Red Devils came from 2-0 down at half-time to win 5-2 back in 2009.

17. Juventus (10 Goals)

Before joining the Turin giants, Ronaldo's record against Juventus was exceptional. On top of the two goals he scored in the 2017 Champions League final against them, he scored arguably his best ever goal the following year in the quarter final.

16. Osasuna (12 Goals)

Osasuna were often victims of Ronaldo's relentless pursuit of a golden boot, as he scored in seven separate fixtures against them. This strike in 2014 was the pick of the bunch.

15. Granada (12 Goals)

Another record of more goals than games against, but this one is heavily boosted by a five goal haul back in 2015 in a 9-1 win.

14. Rayo Vallecano (12 Goals)

It's not often a team can score ten goals in a game, but what's even less likely is for that to happen and Ronaldo to only score two of them. That happened in 2016 but didn't stop CR7 getting 12 in nine appearances against Rayo.

13. Villarreal (13 Goals)

After four games without a goal against Villarreal for Manchester United, Ronaldo made up for it by putting them to the sword in La Liga. That includes this perfect hat-trick in a comeback win back in 2011.

12. Deportivo (13 Goals)

Ronaldo always loved playing against Deportivo. He scored in six separate fixtures against them, including two hat-tricks.

11. Levante (14 Goals)

The team that Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 324th Real Madrid goal against, making him the all-time top goalscorer in the club's history. He also grabbed two hat-tricks against them en route to netting 14 times in 12 appearances.

10. Valencia (15 Goals)

One of the rare instances where Ronaldo has a stunning record against a team despite having never scored a hat-trick against them.

9. Espanyol (15 Goals)

Ronaldo only scored in seven of the 14 games he played against Espanyol but three of those saw him score 11 goals.

Two hat-tricks and a five-goal haul in those three games help to boost his numbers.

8. Real Sociedad (15 Goals)

When Ronaldo played Real Sociedad it was inevitable that he would score, and almost always more than once. In fact, CR7 scored two hat-tricks and four braces against them. Rumour has it that in San Sebastian, they call him Thanos.

7. Malaga (17 Goals)

Ronaldo also racked up nine assists alongside his 17 goals against Malaga.

He grabbed two hat-tricks in his 19 appearances against the Spanish side, including this treble in a 7-0 win back in 2011.

6. Athletic Club (17 Goals)

Ronaldo grabbed two hat-tricks against Athletic Club during his time in Spain, including this one in a 5-0 win. Some official sites don't count Ronaldo's third in this game, instead crediting it to Pepe. But Real Madrid count it, so we will too.

5. Barcelona - (20 Goals)

The biggest of big game players, Ronaldo's record in the biggest game of them all was impeccable. He scored the goal that essentially sealed his first La Liga title at Camp Nou, which birthed his infamous 'calma' celebration too.

4. Celta Vigo (20 Goals)

To score 20 goals against a single opponent is ridiculous, but to do it in just 13 games is a feat only Ronaldo can achieve. He scored his record-breaking (at the time) 23rd La Liga hat-trick against Celta in 2014.

3. Getafe (23 Goals)

An absolutely unreal record as Ronaldo scored three hat-tricks and five more braces against Madrid's local rivals during his tenure at the Bernabeu.

2. Atletico Madrid (25 Goals)

Ronaldo has always been a man for the big occasion and he became the all-time top scorer in the Madrid derby during his time in Spain. But he didn't stop terrorising them when he went to Serie A, scoring a Champions League hat-trick for Juventus to knock them out in 2019.

1. Sevilla (27 Goals)

A blistering four hat-tricks, two braces and even a four goal haul for Ronaldo against his favourite opponent Sevilla. Ronaldo only failed to score in three games against them, making his 27 goals even more absurd.
