'I'm not buying the next FIFA, I'm sick of it'.

Look, if you can't beat them, join them. FIFA Ultimate Team arguably remains the most popular game mode out across the gaming world, no matter how many controllers it might've cost people in previous years. FIFA 21 is no different, as it remains wildly addictive and popular as ever.

There's always the chance to improve and refresh your squad, too - the trouble is, you're not often sure which 84-87 gold rated players are a) good enough b) cheap enough and c) will fit into your squad.

So, 90min has done some digging and picked out the cheapest available players across Europe's top five football leagues - so you don't need to do the leg work. Enjoy.

**DISCLAIMER - 90min is not liable for any broken items that may come from purchasing any of the following cards listed.**

Premier League - Kasper Schmeichel (7,800 coins)

According to everyone's favourite friend FUTBIN, Kasper Schmeichel is available for around 7,800 coins - and he could be a shrewd addition to a Premier League squad, boasting some sexy 89 reflexes.

Bundesliga - Roman Burki (7,300 coins)

Borussia Dortmund's number one shot stopper is even cheaper than Schmeichel and could provide you with a strong hyperlink to Mats Hummels - if slow central defenders happen to be your thing.

Salvatore Sirugu - (8,000 coins)

The likelihood is that you might be able to snipe Sirigu for a little cheaper than this, as there's plenty of cards knocking around the market. The fact he's Italian can provide you with strong links to some of Serie A's best defenders.

La Liga - Isco (9,600 coins)

He might be an outcast in Zinedine Zidane's real life Real Madrid squad, but Isco could be money well spent in the 84 overall category. Position modifiers could make him a handy option anywhere in midfield.

Ligue 1 - Idrissa Gueye (8,000 coins)

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is the defensive alternative to Isco and would solve any defensive issues. Everyone loves a high defensive work rate and good stamina, right?

Premier League - Bernd Leno (17,000 coins)

Living the high life? Upgrade Schmeichel for Leno; the German provides Premier League links and those from further afield with a common nationality.

Bundesliga - Peter Gulasci (15,000 coins)

The RB Leipzig stopper comes with 84 positioning and 86 reflexes, and although you don't actually get to be Julian Nagelsmann, he is naturally compatible with any centre-backs in the Bundesliga (especially Dayot Upamecano).

Serie A - Dries Mertens (17,250 coins)

Mertens boasts four star skills and a four star weak foot, which combined with 89 dribbling and 86 pace is perfect for any player who strikes on the counter attack.

La Liga - Koke (17,250 coins)

Koke comes for roughly the same price tag as Mertens, but provides the sting from midfield; a much easier position to work with.

Ligue 1 - Memphis Depay (15,500 coins)

If you can pick up Depay up for around the 15k mark, there is some fun to be had. He does have five star skills after all, and can be synced up to some other classy Dutch players.

Special Champions League card - Frenkie de Jong (18,000 coins) The Rolls Royce Dutch midfielder has a blue Champions League card available for a knockdown price, so who the hell are we to argue with that? It's also blue, which is nice.

Premier League - Jamie Vardy (32,000 coins)

If you're interested in having an 86 rated Premier League party, the first player on the guest list of your squad needs to be Jamie Vardy. FIFA games will come and go, but pace will always prevail.

Bundesliga - Yann Sommer (30,000 coins)

If you want to spend big on a Bundesliga goalkeeper and have the money available, Swiss sensation Sommer - ever reliable in the FIFA franchise - is the man to call on.

Serie A - Alejandro Gomez (40,000 coins)

Getting your hands on a 'Papu' Gomez Serie A card isn't as difficult as it sounds, though his move to Sevilla should see this card fade into the background. Still, if Serie A is your thing, four star skills, 90 pace and 84 passing make the former Atalanta star hot property.

La Liga - David Silva (31,500 coins)

If you don't like David Silva, there's definitely something with you. Yes, he may be ancient and have no pace anymore, but c'mon, it's David Silva! For just over 30k, this La Liga treasure can be yours.

Ligue 1 - Marco Verratti (32,000 coins)

Sure, midfield gems are fun, but you cannot go wrong with someone like Marco Verratti. He won't run rings around players but 90 dribbling and 85 passing means losing the ball is pretty hard to do.

Premier League - Son Heung-min (39,000 coins)

The Tottenham man is firing on all cylinders in real life and has only two stats that aren't in the mid-to-high 80s range in the virtual world. High/high work rates, too.

Bundesliga - Jadon Sancho (61,500 coins)

Big spenders and Bundesliga fans take note - teach Manchester United a lesson and splash the cash for guaranteed quality and endless Jadon Sancho chemistry.

Serie A - Wojciech Szczesny (43,000 coins)

If you're bored and really want to show that you have plenty of coins lying about, poach Juventus' number one and shore up that goalkeeper spot for good.

La Liga - Luka Modric (40,000 coins)

Modric's mobility isn't the best on FIFA, but there's a lot to be said for a 35-year-old still being rated 87 on FIFA. Not a bad price when you consider how good his stats are.

Ligue 1 - Keylor Navas (39,000 coins)

For those of a Ligue 1 persuasion, you may think it's worth forking out the bucks for Keylor Navas. We're not so sure, but he's yours for just under 40k if you think that's the right way to go.

Bundesliga Player of the Month card - Andre Silva - (44,000 coins) One final splash of cheeky special card action takes us to Germany and Frankfurt striker Andre Silva. For all of you do something different enthusiasts, this gem of a card can be picked up for around 44,000 coins - bit of a bargain when it's built to bang home goals.
