During its opening decade, the Women's Super League treated us to a number of spectacular goals.

Whether you prefer solo efforts, cheeky chips or long-range rockets, the WSL has been kind to goal lovers of all stripes.

With so many strikes to choose from, narrowing down a top ten is not an easy task. Here at 90min though, we love a challenge almost as much as we love a worldie. So without further ado, here they are - the top 10 best goals in WSL history. So far, anyway...

10. Ellen White vs Arsenal (2015)

When painstakingly precise free kick routines do not come off you tend to look stupid - very stupid in fact.

However, on the rare occasions that practice makes perfect they can be a thing of beauty. Ellen White proved this in 2015, finishing off this deceptive routine with a tidy finish against former club Arsenal back in 2015.

9. Katrin Omarsdottir vs Bristol Academy (2013)

Icelandic midfielder Katrin Omarsdottir did not score many during her spell in England, but when she did they were normally pretty special.

The pick of the bunch came against Bristol Academy in 2013 where she unleashed a piledriver which clipped the underside of the bar on the way in.

8. Toni Duggan vs Bristol Academy (2015)

We had plenty of Toni Duggan goals to choose from for this list. In the end though, we opted for her inch perfect drive against Bristol Academy in 2015.

It was one of six goals the striker managed during the 14 game WSL season.

7. Lynda Shepherd vs Doncaster Belles (2012)

This bouncing ball was crying out to be pelted and Lynda Shepherd was happy to oblige, unleashing a fiery strike that flew into the roof of the Doncaster Rovers Belles net.

It was the only goal she scored for Liverpool, what a way to be remembered, eh?

6. Fara Williams vs Birmingham (2014)

You may remember a viral clip of Fara Williams lobbing the goalkeeper from kick off while playing for Reading.

What you may not have known is that Williams has previous, repeating the trick for Liverpool a few years earlier. With Birmingham still celebrating their equaliser, the England legend spotted an opportunity to clip one over goalkeeper Becky Spencer - and she made no mistake.

5. Beth England vs Manchester City (2020)

Chelsea 3-3 Manchester City was one of the all-time great WSL games, with plenty of momentum shifts and memorable moments.

The pick of the goals was scored by Beth England who took the ball on the half turn and finished clinically from 25-yards out.

4. Natalia vs Liverpool (2015)

While the majority of our list is made up of thunder strikes, this goal required a defter touch.

Judging her run perfectly, Natalia latched onto a ball over the top and lifted it over the on-rushing goalkeeper on the volley. What a shame it was only a consolation strike in a 3-1 defeat.

3. Jordan Nobbs vs Manchester City (2017)

Going into their meeting with Arsenal, Manchester City had not tasted a home defeat in nearly two years.

This remarkable run was ended when Jordan Nobbs scored a free kick from improbable range. Possessing the right blend of pace, dip and swerve, it is the best set piece in WSL history.

2. Sophie Ingle vs Arsenal (2020)

Chelsea's 4-1 win over Arsenal was one of the best games of the 2020 WSL season.

A big reason for this was Sophie Ingle's wonderstrike. Seizing upon a bouncing clearance, the defender showed supreme control of her body to loop the ball into the top corner on the bounce.

1. Caroline Weir vs Manchester United (2020)

Caroline Weir is synonymous with great goals but none have been better than her match-winning strike in the 2020 Manchester Derby.

Played in front of a packed Etihad Stadium, Weir's left-footed, arrowing drive was deservedly nominated for a Puskas Award, eventually losing out of Son Heung-min's solo run against Burnley.
