MLS Week 30 is in the books and the playoffs are quickly coming up, kicking off on November 19.

We're now at the business end of the regular season, but the pressure doesn't seem to be getting to the players, who continue to produce golazos and wonder strikes at a remarkable rate.

This week was no different, so let's rank five of the best.

5. Russell Teibert (vs Sporting KC)

The Whitecaps picked up a hugely important and wholely unexpected win over high-flying Sporting KC at the weekend and it was sealed in style as Russell Teibert fired home from just over 25 yards out.

The Canadian midfielder flicked the ball up, picked his spot and caught it perfectly on the bounce, delivering a supremely accurate blow that SKC just couldn't recover from.

4. Johnny Russell (vs Vancouver Whitecaps)

That said, Peter Vermes' men did try their best.

In Johnny Russell, they have a winger in scintillating form right now and although SKC lost, the Scotsman did extend his scoring run to six consecutive games and seven goals in eight.

Finding space on the right flank, the 31-year-old needed just one touch to set himself before curling a beautiful finish beyond the outstretched Maxime Crépeau. Peak Russell.

3. Maximiliano Urruti (vs Seattle Sounders)

After a wonderful start to the season, Maxi Urruti went 15 games and three months without a goal until finally rediscovering his scoring touch at the weekend. And how.

A clever free-kick routine saw Urruti run behind the Seattle defence from just behind the wall before dispatching a stunning volley beyond Stefan Frei. The way Urruti smashed the ball home on the turn, without looking, was almost Robin van Persie-esque.

But it was just the first of three superb goals in Houston that night.

2. Jimmy Medranda (vs Houston Dynamo)

The Dynamo went on to double their lead and eventually seal arguably the shock of the weekend. But more on that later.

For now, sit back and enjoy yet another banger from Sounders defender Jimmy Medranda. The Colombian has hit the net four times so far this season and they've pretty much all been bangers. This one is so satisfying thanks to the purity of strike, with the ball appearing to glide into the far corner, despite moving at remarkable speed.

Medranda is arguably the most entertaining defender in MLS right now thanks to strikes like this.

1. Darwin Quintero (vs Seattle Sounders)

In the end, though, Medranda's rocket was nothing more than a consolation. That's thanks to Darwin Quintero lighting it up and putting the Dynamo two up in the 20th minute.

Quintero is an immense talent on his day, still capable of ripping a game open with dazzling dribbling when the mood strikes. Well, the mood certainly struck here, with the Colombian beating not one, not two, but three Sounders defenders before firing home beyond the helpless Frei.

That's three goals and two assists in Quintero's last six MLS appearances. It's come a little too late for the Dynamo's playoff hopes, but it's damn fun to watch all the same.
