The 2022 Major League Soccer campaign is winding, but the goals keep on coming. Players did not disappoint as the fight to make the playoffs continues.

The Eastern Conference saw some stunning strikes, with Lorenzo Insigne headlining for Toronto against Inter Miami. but the West took over this week's list with too many goals to choose from. Cade Cowell made his mark against LAFC, while Victor Vazquez proved himself vs. the Seattle Sounders.

Here are the best goals of week 26...

5. Cade Cowell (vs. LAFC)

Cowell did not hold back against LAFC.

The player came in full force against the Western Conference leaders, connecting with defender Tommy Thompson to get the ball past goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau and score the winning goal.

Cowell broke LAFC's seven game winning streak to help his side to the three points in a massive underdog performance.

4. Lorenzo Insigne (vs. Inter Miami)

It had to be Insigne.

The Italian opened up the scoring for Toronto FC against Inter Miami, managing a right-footed shot from just outside the box to find the bottom right corner.

Though Inter Miami eventually won the game 2-1, the goal marked Insigne's third in just six games for the Canadian side.

3. Victor Vazquez (vs. Seattle Sounders)

Victor Vazquez's first half goal propelled LA Galaxy to seventh place on the Western Conference table, just inside of the playoff bracket.

The player completed a stunning right-footed shot from the right side of the pitch, curving the ball perfectly to find the upper left corner.

Goalkeeper Stefan Frei attempted to make the save, but there was no stopping that strike.

2. Erik Thommy (vs. Portland Timbers)

Sporting Kansas City defeated the Portland Timbers with a shocking 4-1 scoreline that no one saw coming.

Midfielder Erik Thommy contributed to the victory, firing a rocket from just outside the box and into the upper right corner.

Though Sporting KC remains in last place of the Western Conference, the game against the Timbers is definitely the way to see out the season.

1. Hany Mukhtar (vs. FC Dallas)

Last, but not least, we have Hany Mukhtar's free kick in first place.

His right-footed shot to the top right corner contributed to the 4-0 victory over FC Dallas to put Nashville in sixth place of the Western Conference table.

The midfielder has become unstoppable this season, recording 16 goals and nine assists in 26 games.
