Week 24 of the 2022 Major League Soccer season saw some stunning goals.

Some of the league's newest figures made themselves known over the weekend, as Lorenzo Insigne logged his first goal for Toronto FC in the East and Gareth Bale shocked with an impressive strike against Real Salt Lake in the West. But nothing like Paul Marie's efforts for the San Jose Earthquakes vs. Austin FC.

Here's this edition of goals of the week...


5. Sebastian Driussi (vs. San Jose Earthquakes)

16 goals in 24 games.

Sebastian Driussi cannot stop scoring. He currently leads the 2022 MLS Golden Boot race, standing two goals clear of second place Brandon Vazquez.

He was as it again on Saturday, managing two goals to propel Austin FC to the 3-3 draw against the Earthquakes. but it's his first goal that makes it on this list, finding the center of the net to equalize the match.

4. Gareth Bale (vs. Real Salt Lake)

It was only a matter of time before Gareth Bale made this list.

The Welsh star danced through Real Salt Lake's defense before reaching the right side of the box and sending the ball into the opposite direction to find the back of the net. It was Bale's second goal for LAFC in just four matches, wasting no time in Major League Soccer.

3. Chicho Arango (vs. Real Salt Lake)

The Western Conference leaders are at it again, defeating RSL 4-1 to maintain atop the table.

Chicho Arango kicked off the scoring at Rio Tinto Stadium, sneaking in the goal with a clever backheel. With 51 points in 23 games, LAFC cannot be stopped.

2. Lorenzo Insigne (vs. Nashville SC)

Lorenzo Insigne has officially arrived.

The Italian completed a right-footed shot from just outside the box and into the bottom left corner to score his first goal in Major League Soccer. His efforts propelled Toronto FC to the 4-3 triumph over Nashville SC, boosting the team's record to 7W-12L-5D.

1. Paul Marie (vs. Austin FC)

Paul Marie fired the right-footed strike from outside the box to reach the top left corner of the goal and top this week's list. There was absolutely no stopping Marie's rocket, inspiring his first goal of the season and third overall for the San Joe Earthquakes.
