The best goals of MLS match day 30 - ranked

Before heading into the September international window, players left it all out on the field for Major League Soccer's match day 30.

Inter Miami stunned again, triumphing 3-1 over LAFC to inch one step closer to a potential playoff slot. Jordi Alba's goal was one to watch, connecting with former FC Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi to find the back of the net.

Elsewhere, Evander led the Portland Timbers to a draw against the Seattle Sounders with a stunning goal while Real Salt Lake defeated the Colorado Rapids with strikes from Chicho Arango and Brayan Vera.

5. Jordi Alba (vs. LAFC)

To kick off, we have Jordi Alba against the reigning MLS champions. He made it look easy, connecting with Lionel Messi before sending the ball to the back of the net.

4. Chicho Arango (vs. Colorado Rapids)

It had to be Chicho Arango!

LAFC could've used him on Sunday against Inter Miami given his goalscoring ways on Saturday. The Colombian player is back to make himself known in MLS after a brief stint with Liga MX's Pachuca, and Real Salt Lake sure are grateful.

3. Christian Benteke (vs. Chicago Fire)

D.C. United triumphed 4-0 over the Chicago Fire, but it was Benteke's brace to take notice of. It was all about positioning for the forward, receiving the ball on the left edge of the box before sending it to the opposite corner.

Wayne Rooney's boys needed that win.

2. Brayan Vera (vs. Colorado Rapids)

Vera scored the opening goal in the 2-0 victory, rocketing a free kick past Rapids goalkeeper Marko Ilić to reach the top left corner. What a way for the player to mark his first official Major League Soccer goal for Real Salt Lake.

1. Evander (vs. Seattle Sounders)

And finally, Evander!

The stunning, right-footed strike from just outside the box and into the top right corner of the goal became a contender for best goal of the season. It was the cherry on top to a hard-fought draw against rivals Seattle Sounders.
