Arsenal take on Everton on Friday night in the Premier League as they look to keep their slim top four hopes alive.

The Gunners were held to a draw with Fulham last time out, with a late equaliser from Eddie Nketiah sparing their blushes.

With both sides in the hunt for a top four finish in the final stretch of the season, a win is vital. Mikel Arteta will be keen to get his side some momentum ahead of their Europa League semi-final next week, so let's take a look at the side he should start.

1. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Bernd Leno (GK) - Leno was dropped against Fulham, but he's the number one goalkeeper and should start here.

Hector Bellerin (RB) -
Bellerin has been struggling for minutes in the second half of the season but did well against Fulham and should keep his place for this game.

Gabriel (CB) -
The Brazilian has had a topsy-turvy season, but with David Luiz out he is the best passer out from the back available, and has pace to help with the high line.

Rob Holding (CB) -
Seems to have taken on the leadership role in Arteta's defence recently.

Granit Xhaka (LB) -
With Kieran Tierney out injured, Arteta has opted for the Swiss international at left-back and he's been brilliant so should continue in the role.

2. Midfielders

Thomas Partey (CM) - The Ghanaian hasn't had the best of luck with injuries this season, but he's still by far the club's best midfielder and must start in this game to keep their top four hopes alive.

Dani Ceballos (CM) -
His style of play and mobility in midfield suit Arteta perfectly, and alongside Partey he provides great balance the three in middle of the park.

Emile Smith Rowe (CAM) -
Smith Rowe has been a revelation in the number ten position this season and with Martin Odegaard injured, he should continue in his favoured position.

3. Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) - Arsenal's player of the season by a distance, if he's fit he starts.

Eddie Nketiah (ST) -
With senior strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette ruled out with injury, Nketiah should get a chance to build on the momentum of his goal last week from the start.

Nicolas Pepe (LW) -
The club's record signing has been much better this season but is still trying to convince people he's worth the £72m price tag. He's been better off the left and should start ahead of Willian here to add a goal threat.
