Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is determined not to allow striker Harry Kane to join a Premier League rival this summer - no matter the price - amid interest from Manchester United.

Kane has just over one year left on his contract, and last weekend scored his 200th Premier League goal, becoming Tottenham's all-time leading goalscorer in the process.

His strike earned Spurs three points against Manchester City, putting them back in the mix to qualify for the Champions League at the end of the current season - something which will be crucial to the club's chances of keeping their star man beyond this campaign.

The England captain is not close to extending his contract at Tottenham despite soon entering the final year of his deal, and is likely to analyse his options at the end of the campaign before deciding on his future.

United are among the clubs interested in a potential deal for Kane, who will turn 30 in July. 90min has previously reported that Kane is among a number of names United are looking at as they search for a new first-choice number nine.

Bayern Munich are also interested in luring Kane to Germany, though Kane is understood to be favouring a stay in England in a perfect world to continue chasing the Premier League's all-time goalscoring record - sitting 60 goals behind Alan Shearer at present. Kane's camp have not ruled out a move abroad, however.

90min reported last month that Bayern value Kane in a similar region to what they sold Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona for last summer. The Polish striker set Barcelona back a total package worth €50m.

Bayern would expect to pay more given Kane is five years Lewandowski's junior, but not too far from the market price given his contract situation.

90min understands the option to sell Kane abroad for a smaller fee is more appealing to Levy than doing business with a rival like United at a higher price, though the club's priority is to tie Kane's future down long-term at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

United have found business with Spurs extremely difficult to do in the past with Levy driving negotiations, though do have other options they're considering to fill their problem centre forward position. Loanee Wout Weghorst and perenially-injured Anthony Martial are the options Erik ten Hag has to choose from at present.

Napoli's Victor Osimhen is of interest to United, though could face stiff competition from big-spending Chelsea, while 90min also understands that Dusan Vlahovic is another option they could to turn to given Juventus' points deduction in Serie A and difficulties faced this season, with Champions League qualification looking incredibly challenging.

United could be under new ownership by the time the summer transfer window begins, with a number of candidates emerging ahead of next Friday's soft deadline for parties to declare interest.
