Son Heung-min says that Tottenham players have no option but to follow head coach Antonio Conte's instructions as they'll "struggle" if they don't.

Conte took over from Nuno Espirito Santo last November and has improved the fortunes of the club since, taking them back to the Champions League at the end of last season.

This season started well too but questions are starting to be asked of the Italian following defeats to Sporting CP and Arsenal and a 0-0 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Son says the players are all still committed to doing as their manager says though as they know things won't go well if they don't.

"It's important [to listen to him]. We saw last season that nobody believed we would be here right now. Last season nobody believed we'd be in the Champions League," he said.

"The gaffer always wants more, more, more and as I player I want to follow his way, or you know what's coming. If we don't follow him then you know you struggle.

"We have to follow, there is no option because he's a winner and I think this is what we do - sacrifice and do the hard things."

Conte hasn't hidden how he's felt when angry after matches, openly criticising himself and his team, but Son has no issue with that.

"We're human, we're all emotional. Sometimes after the game we're all happy and sometimes we're all angry or frustrated," he added.

"The gaffer is more passionate, if we win he's like the happiest guy in the world, but if the performance is not good and he's not happy, he's the first one blaming himself and wanting to improve."
