The SheBelieves Cup returns during the February international break as preparations for the 2023 World Cup step up.

The SheBelieves Cup is renowned for it's blockbuster lineups, and this year is no different, with a selection of the world's best sides going toe to toe over the course of the competition.

What will the 2023 SheBelieves Cup have in store? Here's everything you need to know about the tournament.


When is the SheBelieves Cup 2023?

The 2023 SheBelieves Cup takes place between Thursday 16 February and Wednesday 23 February 2023.

Fixture double headers take place across three dates: Thursday 16 February, Sunday 19 February and Wednesday 22 February.


Where is the SheBelieves Cup 2023?

The 2023 SheBelieves Cup is as ever being hosted in the United States. The venues being used for the 2023 SheBelieves Cup are the Exploria Stadium in Orlando, the Toyota Stadium in Dallas and Geodis Park in Nashville.


Who is competing in the SheBelieves Cup 2023?

The United States, Canada, Brazil and Japan are the four teams competing at the 2023 SheBelieves Cup.

Hosts the USWNT have participated in every SheBelieves Cup to date. The 2023 SheBelieves will be Brazil and Japan's third appearance at the tournament, and Canada's second.


SheBelieves Cup history

The SheBelieves Cup began in 2016, and has always been an invitational friendly tournament consisting of four teams.

The USWNT, England, Germany and France took part in the first three renditions of the tournament, but the lineups have differed year on year since 2019. Japan, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Canada, Iceland, New Zealand and the Czech Republic have all gone on to compete in the SheBelieves Cup.

There have been seven previous SheBelieves Cups, and the USWNT have won five of them.

Megan Rapinoe is the SheBelieves Cup's all-time top scorer, with seven goals.

SheBelieves Cup format

The SheBelieves Cup is a round-robin style tournament, with each team playing each other once.

Teams are organised in a league table based on their results. Teams are awarded three points for a win, one for a draw and zero for a defeat. In the result of a points tie, finishing positions are decided by goal difference, followed by goals scored.
