West Ham return to Europa League action this week as they head to Spain for the first leg of a last 16 tie against record winners Sevilla.

The Hammers made light work of the group stage in the first half of the season, which earned them a bye to this stage of the competition. However, David Moyes' team have struggled domestically in recent weeks, winning only two of their last seven Premier League games.

Having been dumped out of the Champions League after the group stage, Sevilla reached the last 16 by eliminating Dinamo Zagreb from the knockout play-off round last month. West Ham had also beaten the Croatian side in the group stage on matchday one.

This is everything you need to know about this week's first leg clash...

Sevilla predicted lineup (4-3-3): Bounou; Navas, Kounde, Carlos, Acuna; Jordan, Fernando, Rakitic; Corona, En-Nesyri, Ocampos

West Ham team news

The Hammers are boosted by new that Jarrod Bowen avoided serious damage in an injury scare against Liverpool, although he still may not play here.

Angelo Ogbonna and Vladimir Coufal are the only confirmed injury absentees, but fans will hope that Declan Rice is over his recent illness and is back on form.

Alphonse Areola should continue to deputise for Lukasz Fabianski in goal, having been the designated starter throughout the group stage.

Sevilla vs West Ham score prediction

Sevilla, who are Real Madrid's closest competitors in La Liga's title race this season, are the best side that West Ham will have faced in their Europa League campaign.

It will be a tough to win over in Spain, but they have to compete and ensure that they return to east London at least still in in the tie. Losing isn't the end of the world because there will be another 90 minutes to play next week.

Prediction: Sevilla 2-1 West Ham
