Sergio Aguero Picks Up Injury During Manchester City's Premier League Clash With Burnley

Sergio Aguero was forced off with an injury on the stroke of half time during Manchester City's Premier League clash with Burnley.
Returning to the City lineup as Pep Guardiola made eight changes to the side that beat Arsenal, the City striker was caught late by Burnley defender Ben Mee in the box, with VAR awarding a penalty following the incident.
Riyad Mahrez netted from the spot, while Aguero was replaced by Gabriel Jesus immediately after.
The challenge from Mee appeared relatively innocuous - although the contact was deemed sufficient enough for a penalty to be awarded.
However, Sam Lee - Manchester City journalist for the Athletic - took to Twitter to explain that rather than picking up a knock during the coming together with Mee, the forward injured his knee when taking a shot earlier in the first half.
It was also noted how Pep Guardiola appeared visibly disappointed by Aguero's injury.
Guardiola looks very disappointed by Aguero's verdict of his injury. Apparently (I have been told) he didn't look comfortable with his knee after an earlier shot, rather than that knock for the penalty

The fixture was Aguero's first start since the Premier League resumed, having come off the bench during City's 3-0 victory over Arsenal on 17 June.
The striker, currently on 16 Premier League goals for the season, missed a month of action earlier in the season due to a muscular injury.
Besides Aguero's apparent injury, City's clash with Burnley at the Etihad was overshadowed by a plane carrying a 'white lives matter' banner appearing in the sky above the stadium shortly after kick-off.
