Ajax striker Sebastien Haller will undergo a medical ahead of an initial £30m move to Borussia Dortmund, 90min understands.
The Bundesliga side have been on the hunt for a new striker since the sale of Erling Haaland to Manchester City, though have also recruited Red Bull Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi this summer.
And BVB are closing in on another option up top as Ivory Coast international Haller will shortly undergo a medical after a deal worth £30m plus various add-ons was agreed with Ajax.
90min reported last week that the Dutch club were hopeful of recouping €40m for Haller, and add-ons could take the final fee closer to that sum.
Haller was in sensational scoring form for Ajax last season, notably grabbing 11 goals in just eight Champions League matches. He also scored 21 times in the Eredivisie as they retained their Dutch crown.
