Exclusive - Rangers winger Ryan Kent has told the Scottish club that he wants the chance to move back to the Premier League with Leeds United.

Marcelo Bielsa's side recently saw a bid for Kent swiftly rejected, with manager Steven Gerrard insisting that the offer came 'nowhere near' to Rangers' valuation of the 23-year-old Englishman.

Leeds' interest in Kent dates back to last summer when they tried to compete with Rangers to sign the former Liverpool man, and although Kent was keen on the move, Leeds could not find the £6.5m needed to rival Rangers at the time.

Now, following Leeds' promotion to the top flight, Bielsa is keen to finally bring Kent to Elland Road, and a source has confirmed to 90min that Leeds are confident of striking a deal as Kent has informed Rangers that he wants the chance to move back to England if a suitable offer arrives.

Bielsa believes that Kent has the potential to become a regular England international and hopes to unite the winger with Brighton centre-back Ben White, who starred on loan at Elland Road last season and has been the subject of several failed bids from Leeds.

Rangers are not prepared to let Kent go without a fight. Gerrard is a huge fan of the winger, who managed eight goals and four assists in 33 appearances last season, and would likely hope to make a sizeable profit if Kent is permitted to leave.

Kent is yet to play in the Premier League, with his sole appearance for Liverpool coming in an FA Cup tie with Exeter City in January 2016, but he hopes to have the chance to rectify that this summer.

Finding more attacking options is high on Bielsa's agenda this summer. Alongside Kent, Leeds have registered their interest in Valencia forward Rodrigo Moreno as they look to find some viable competition for Patrick Bamford in attack.

90min understands that Girona's Cristhian Stuani and former Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser are both on the radar, while reports from elsewhere have linked Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi, Stuttgart's Nicolás González and Liverpool duo Divock Origi and Rhian Brewster with moves to Elland Road.
