We've reached the point of Euro 2020 where the games start to thin out and the pace begins to slow, but there is still plenty on the line heading into the final round of group fixtures.

And no-one knows that better than Russia and Denmark, who are fighting for their lives at the tournament.

Russia will be looking to cement their spot as runners up to Belgium while Denmark, though rooted to the bottom of Group B, could overtake Stanislav Cherchesov's team with a victory.

Mario Fernandes seems unlikely to feature after he was stretchered off in the first half of Russia's win over Finland. Vyacheslav Karavaev could start at right back in his place.

Otherwise, it's unlikely we'll see too many changes to the side that picked up a crucial win last time out, with Artem Dzyuba and Aleksey Miranchuk needing big performances to fire them into the last 16.

Christian Eriksen was recently discharged from hospital as he recovers from the cardiac arrest he suffered in their opening match, but it will obviously be a while before we see him on a football pitch again.

It remains to be seen if Kasper Hjulmand will stick with the back five with which Denmark lost their first two games, but there are options there if he chooses to change it up. The promising Mikkel Damsgaard could start again, while target man Jonas Wind could also return to the side as Denmark desperately chase a win.

Our 21 - One to watch

Mikkel Damsgaard was drafted into Denmark's starting XI against Belgium as part of a complete reshuffle after Christian Eriksen's frightening heart scare ruled him out of the tournament, and he held his own with remarkable ease. The 20-year-old gave the Belgian back line no time to settle, and he could play a key part against Russia if the Danes are to keep their hopes alive.

Russia vs Denmark head to head record

Remarkably, this will be the first ever competitive meeting between Russia and Denmark.

They did face off in a friendly back in 2012, however, with Russia running out 2-0 winners.

Prediction

It would not be a surprise at all to see Denmark pick up the win here. They were unlucky against Belgium, and they desperately need the points if they are to stand any chance of sneaking through to the last 16.

Russia will be no easy opponent, as they showed in their victory over Finland. But there are vulnerabilities there to be got at, and Denmark will be out to take full advantage.
