The LA Galaxy have finalized a deal to sign Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig, 90min sources confirm.

Reports emerged earlier this week linking the Spaniard to the Galaxy, with Fabrizio Romano stating on Tuesday that the two clubs had reached an agreement.

90min sources confirmed the details had been agreed and signed between the two clubs, while it's understood Puig has now also signed a deal with the Galaxy, who are expected to announce the transfer imminently.

Puig will join the Galaxy on a permanent deal, signing a three-year contract.

Still only 22 years old, Puig arrives Stateside after making 56 senior appearances for Barcelona across all competitions, scoring twice and providing three assists.

Despite being unable to break into the starting XI on a regular basis at the Camp Nou, Puig's technical prowess and mobility should make him an excellent addition to the Galaxy, who are crying out for extra midfield creativity.

LA sit ninth in the Western Conference and face Liga MX side Chivas in the Leagues Cup on Wednesday before traveling to Sporting Kansas City in MLS play on Saturday.
