The final game of Group D sees Real Madrid clash with Inter in the Champions League, with both sides looking to seal top spot.

The home side currently hold the advantage after picking up four wins from their five group games, although Inter have been equally as steady thus far.

A draw is all Real Madrid need to cement their place as group winners, but Inter won't be travelling to Spain to roll over - they will want to top of the group in the hope of earning a slightly easier tie in the last 16.

Here's 90min's preview of the game.

Real Madrid team news

Real Madrid are without the influential Karim Benzema because of a hamstring injury picked up in the weekend win over Real Sociedad.

The Frenchman limped off in the first half of an eventual 2-0 win, although his replacement Luka Jovic did his chances of more first team football no harm at all with a goal and an assist off the bench.

Dani Ceballos and Gareth Bale are also missing for Carlo Ancelotti, but the rest of the team should be the strongest possible as Real Madrid look to sew up top spot in the group.

Inter team news

Inter have problems of their own, with Joaquin Correa, Aleksandar Kolarov, Stefan de Vrij, Andrea Ranocchia and Matteo Darmian all missing.

The Nerazzurri are also unable to call upon Christian Eriksen, who is training away from the club because the Italian football authorities will not medically clear him to compete.

Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko should form a dangerous looking front two, while Inter's strength at wing-back will also be a concern for Real as they look to fend off defeat.

Inter predicted lineup (3-5-2): Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, Skriniar, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Sensi, Vidal, Perisic; Dzeko, Martinez

Real Madrid vs Inter head to head record

Real Madrid and Inter have clashed 18 times on the European stage since their first encounter in 1964.

Los Blancos have won half of those meetings, including their last three, and will be confident of extending that run with home advantage.

Rodrygo's dramatic late winner separated the two sides at San Siro in September, while Real also saw off Inter in both of their group stage meetings last season by an 5-2 aggregate score.

Real Madrid vs Inter score prediction

It's all to play for with these two teams desperately wanting to top Group D.

They have both conceded just three goals until this point, overcoming shaky starts to their campaign to pull away from minnows Sheriff and Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk.

Karim Benzema's absence will be felt strongly by Real Madrid, but the impressive form of Vinicius Junior and winning mentality of manager Ancelotti may be enough to scrape the Spanish giants over the line against an Inter side who will offer plenty of attacking threat.

Expect plenty of drama and goalmouth action, with Real perhaps edging the win as Inter look to get their noses in front.

Prediction: Real Madrid 3-2 Inter
