Chelsea can book their place in the Champions League quarter finals with two games to spare should they get the better of Real Madrid at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium on Thursday.

Having suffered a surprise group stage elimination last term, the Blues have won three from three thus far to navigate a difficult group.

Real's hopes of progression still hang in the balance, with just goal difference keeping them off PSG in second spot.

Real Madrid team news

Claudia Florentino is a doubt for Real, having missed out against Levante Las Planas last time out. Esther González was on target twice in said fixture, bringing her season tally to 12 goals in 16 outings.

Chelsea team news

Pernille Harder remains a long term absentee for Chelsea, having undergone surgery on a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty in November.

The Blues named a slightly rotated side against Leicester on Sunday, with Erin Cuthbert and Lauren James both rested, and Eve Perisset slotting in at centre-back.

Real Madrid vs Chelsea score prediction

The two sides last met a fortnight ago, with Chelsea digging in to secure a narrow 2-0 victory. It was a game of very few chances, with a set piece and cross-cum-shot from Erin Cuthbert ultimately proving decisive.

The goals were the first Real have conceded in the Champions League this term, having previously held PSG to a 0-0 draw to leave qualification for the quarter-finals from Group A delicately poised. It promises to be another tight encounter, but Chelsea should edge it again.

Prediction: Real Madrid 0-1 Chelsea
