Real Madrid host Deportivo Alaves on Saturday night in La Liga, with Zinedine Zidane's side looking to get back to winning ways in the league.

Madrid come into this fixture off the back of a 2-0 win away at Inter in the Champions League, but are without a win in their last two La Liga matches. Los Blancos were thumped 4-1 by Valencia three weeks ago before being held to a 1-1 draw at Villarreal last time out in the league. Zidane's side currently sit fourth in the table.

As for Alaves, two wins, four draws and four defeats sees Pablo Machin's side sit in 15th position in the table, having accumulated ten points from ten games.

Sergio Ramos, Alvaro Odriozola and Federico Valverde are all unavailable after being ruled out through injury, while Zidane could also be without the services of Luka Jovic and Eder Militao due to positive coronavirus tests.

Karim Benzema, who is said to be gearing up for his return from injury, could be rested by Zidane with next week's Champions League clash against Shakhtar in mind. This could pave the way for Mariano Diaz to lead the line in his absence.

Pere Pons still recovering from a foot injury for Alaves, and Manu Garcia will also be ruled out of making the trip to Madrid following a positive coronavirus test. Lucas Perez is expected to start up top, alongside fellow ex-Premier League forward Joselu.

Real Madrid come into this fixture off the back of a successful trip to Italy in mid-week, as they comfortably beat Inter 2-0 at San Siro.

In La Liga, Madrid are currently in fourth position having won five, drawn two and lost two of their nine games played so far. Zidane's side will be hoping to get back to winning ways after failing to take three points in the previous two league outings.

Alaves are sitting in 15th position in the La Liga table, having won just two of their ten games. The side's last win came just over a month ago away to Valladolid, but have been held to three draws since. In their most recent outing, Alaves drew 2-2 with Valencia in an entertaining affair.

Prediction

Real Madrid will be desperate to get all three points from this match after taking just one from their last two La Liga outings. With changes likely to be made in between the two Champions League fixtures, Zidane's side should be fresh and looking to prove a point.

Alaves will have to take inspiration from their recent resilient performances if they are to get anything from this game, but that will be a big ask for the side currently 11 places below Madrid in the La Liga table.

Prediction: Real Madrid 3-0 Alaves
