Real Madrid must pick themselves up and dust themselves off when they travel to face Valencia on Sunday.

Having watched Barcelona seal the La Liga title just a few days before being thoroughly dismantled by Manchester City in the Champions League, all that is left for Real is to ensure they finish above Atletico Madrid in the standings. Only two points separate the two teams heading into the weekend.

Here's how Carlo Ancelotti could set his side up for this one.

Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Valencia (4-3-3)

GK: Andriy Lunin - Thibaut Courtois played through a tricep injury against City and probably needs a good rest here.

RB: Dani Carvajal - After being given a tough test last time out, the veteran Carvajal will be keen to make a point here.

CB: Eder Militao - The Brazilian is perhaps Real's strongest centre-back but these next few games will be a real test of his developing character.

CB: Antonio Rudiger - Surprisingly benched for the City game despite his success against Erling Haaland in the first leg, Rudiger will also have a point to prove.

LB: Ferland Mendy - The need to shake things up at the back could see Mendy reintroduced to the lineup.

DM: Aurelien Tchouameni - The ageing legs of Toni Kroos could probably do with a rest and Tchouameni will be desperate to prove he can be relied upon.

CM: Federico Valverde - He struggled in midweek but Valverde's quality is not up for debate.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga - Camavinga has impressed at left-back, but the need to inject more energy into Real's midfield is clear.

RW: Marco Asensio - Brought on for the final 20 minutes of the City game, Asensio may get more minutes here while Real look to tie him down to a new contract.

ST: Karim Benzema - Largely ineffective at the Etihad but Benzema is still a match-winner who can dismantle any opponent when he's on form.

LW: Vinicius Junior - The electric Vinicius will be desperate to get running again and remind the world of his talents.
