Real Madrid slumped to their first loss of the season at the Santiago Bernabeu, as newly-promoted Cadiz secured a shock 1-0 win in Saturday's La Liga clash.

The only goal of the game came in the 17th minute through Anthony Lozano's smart finish, granting the visitors three deserved points - their first win over Madrid in 30 years.

Here are your Real Madrid player ratings.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Thibaut Courtois (GK) - 6/10 - Was outfoxed for the goal but was lucky to escape conceding a second before half time after an error in possession. Did, however, make a few key saves.

Nacho (RB) - 5/10 - Provided nothing in either an attacking or defending sense, much of which was due to Cadiz's superior shape and energy. Made one tackle all game. Really.

Sergio Ramos (CB) - 4/10 - Cleared an effort off the line to spare his side falling two goals behind, but was hopelessly out of position could have been sent off, then was hauled off with injury.

Raphael Varane (CB) - 6/10 - The better of Madrid's defenders on the afternoon, if it weren't for the Frenchman the scoreline could have become (even more) humiliating.

Marcelo (LB) - 4/10 - It's evident that Marcelo is lacking in first team minutes since his passing was so poor against Cadiz. Trying to link up with Vinicius was painful to watch at times.

2. Midfielders

Toni Kroos (CM) - 5/10 - A selection of words we don't normally see put together, but yes, Kroos' distribution was actually bad on Saturday. Uncharacteristic of him, if the German plays well then normally his team does too. Shame he didn't, then.

Luka Modric (CM) - 4/10 - Having been so excellent in the recent win over Levante, the drop off in performance against Cadiz came as quite a shock. Relinquishing possession or doing nothing with it, he was taken off at half-time.

Isco (CM) - 5/10 - Could Isco do anything with possession? Nope. He too was hauled off during the break as Zinedine Zidane did his best to shake things up.

3. Forwards

Lucas Vazquez (RW) - 3/10 - Did he play? Cutting an isolated figure on the right wing, his only contributions in the match were hopelessly inaccurate crosses into the box that screamed of desperation more than anything else.

Karim Benzema (ST) - 5/10 - Very unlike Benzema to have so little impact on a game, but he only came to life when Luka Jovic was brought on with 15 minutes to go to offer him some support. Rattled the bar late on.

Vinicius Junior (LW) - 6/10 - The points here are more for trying than anything else. His contribution wasn't great, but of all the players in the team was the Brazilian who was the most likely to offer something of note.

4. Substitutes

Eder Militao - 6/10

Casemiro - 7/10

Federico Valverde - 5/10

Marco Asensio - 6/10

Luka Jovic - 4/10
