RB Leipzig go head-to-head with PSG at the Estadio da Luz on Tuesday night with a Champions League final spot at stake.

Late heroics were needed in both sides' respective quarter-final ties. A deflected Tyler Adams strike sunk Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid as Die Roten Bullen progressed to the semi-finals, winning 2-1 on the night.

Thomas Tuchel's PSG overcame a brave Atalanta side in their quarter-final clash in even more dramatic fashion, reaching the last four of the Champions League for the first time in 25 years. Injury time goals from Marquinhos and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting completed a dramatic 2-1 victory over La Dea.

Team News

Teenage forward Fabrice Hartmann is unavailable for Lyon having sustained a long-term knee injury back in March, while defender Ibrahima Konate is out with a hip injury and will not feature. Summer signings Hwang Hee-Chan and Benjamin Henrichs are ineligible.

For the Parisians, left back Layvin Kurzawa is recovering from a muscle injury and is unlikely to star on Tuesday night. Key man Marco Veratti has resumed full training following a calf injury and could potentially return to the starting lineup, while Keylor Navas is likely to recover from the hamstring injury which afflicted him against Atalanta.

The big question mark, of course, hangs over the head (or ankle) of Kylian Mbappe. The French wonderkid made a surprise recovery from his Coupe de France injury to come off the bench and change the game in midweek, and could yet be in line to start in a crucial game.

Predicted Lineups

RB Leipzig: Gulacsi; Klostermann, Upamecano, Halstenberg; Sabitzer, Kampl, Laimer, Angelino; Olmo, Nkunku; Poulsen.

PSG: Navas; Kehrer, Silva, Marquinhos, Bernat; Herrera, Veratti, Gueye; Mbappe, Icardi, Neymar.

Leipzig finished their Bundesliga campaign with an alarming amount of draws as they dropped out of title contention in the latter stages to finish third. Die Roten Bullen's performances in Europe have been the real highlight of their season though, topping Group G before humbling Tottenham 4-0 on aggregate to set up their quarter-final clash with Atletico.

Since Ligue 1 was called to an abrupt halt back in April, PSG went unbeaten in their limited preseason before lifting both Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue titles against St. Etienne and Lyon to complete a fourth domestic treble in six seasons – although they only scored one game across those two finals.

Thomas Tuchel's side showed desire and resilience to defuse the attacking threat posed by a spirited Atalanta. Like their German counterparts, PSG last suffered defeat at the hands of Dortmund in the Champions League back in February.

Here's how the two teams have fared in their last five outings.

RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig 2-1 Atletico (13/8)
RB Leipzig 1-1 Wolfsburg (30/7)
Augsburg 1-2 RB Leipzig (27/6)
RB Leipzig 0-2 Dortmund (20/6)

PSG

PSG 1-0 Sochaux (5/8)
PSG 0-0 (6-5 Pens) Lyon (31/7)

RB Leipzig did superbly to break through Atletico's defensive brilliance and seal their semi-final spot, but a hungry PSG squad poses a whole new type of threat.

This star-studded Parisian squad are desperate to shake off their Champions League 'bottlers' label. Expect them to come away with a hard fought victory.
