Paris Saint-Germain secured progression into their maiden Champions League final following a comfortable 3-0 victory over RB Leipzig in Lisbon on Tuesday night.

The French champions were dominant from the outset and raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria.

Leipzig improved briefly after the restart but Juan Bernat's headed third put the result beyond reasonable doubt before the hour mark. Chances came at both ends but an impressive defensive performance from PSG ensured they maintained their clean sheet amid their progression onto the grandest stage in club football.

Here are the player ratings from Tuesday night's encounter...

RB LEIPZIG

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Peter Gulacsi (GK) - 5/10 - Made some good saves early but his error for PSG's second was unforgivable. Could've done better with Bernat's header, too.

Nordi Mukiele (RB) - 6/10 - Showed off impressive athleticism and comfort in possession but his antics for PSG's third were... strange.

Dayot Upamecano (CB) - 7/10 - Was never going to match his dominant quarter-final display but was nonetheless pretty stout against a deadly front three.

Lukas Klostermann (CB) - 7/10 - Isn't usually deployed at the heart of a back four but functioned impressively on the whole. Sloppy in possession but acceleration helped thwart Mbappe and co. on the break.

Angelino (LB) - 6/10 - Attacking forays limited in the opening period. Given greater freedom following switch to 4-2-2-2 after the break and offered threat with fierce delivery.

2. Midfielders

Konrad Laimer (RM) - 7/10 - Industrious and versatile throughout, Laimer created Leipzig's best chance of the first half following a marauding run in-behind and tidy cut-back for Yussuf Poulsen, who fired wide.

Dani Olmo (CM) - 4/10 - One of Leipzig's quarter-final heroes, Olmo's influence was minimal in a conservative opening 45 minutes from the East Germans. Was poor in transition but did force Kimpembe into the book with a neat flick.

Kevin Kampl (CM) - 5/10
- Struggled after superb display last time out. Wasn't the metronomic figure we saw against Atletico as was constantly dispossessed and found it tricky dealing with Neymar's movement between the lines.

Marcel Sabitzer (CM) - 6/10 - A quiet night for one of Leipzig's stars.

Christopher Nkunku (LM) - 4/10
- A disappointing night to round of a stellar individual campaign. Snatched at two early chances and was rarely involved before his half-time substitution.

3. Forward

Yussuf Poulsen (ST) - 5/10 - Cut an isolated figure and struggled to make an impact in his limited amount of time the ball fell to his feet.

5. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Sergio Rico (GK) - 6/10 - A quiet evening for the former Fulham man. A couple of flaps from long-range efforts but pretty sturdy overall.

Thilo Kehrer (RB) - 5/10 - Not totally convincing. Sloppy on the ball at times, offered little in the final third and was pretty inactive defensively.

Thiago Silva (CB) - 8/10 - A majestic defensive display. Executed everything that was tasked of him with the utmost elegance and effectiveness. Ageing like a fine wine.

Presnel Kimpembe (CB) - 8/10 - Yellow card the only blemish on a fine display. Dealt with Leipzig's tame attacking threat with ease and proved comfortable in possession throughout. Wasn't quite as impressive compared to Atalanta showing.

Juan Bernat (LB) - 8/10 - A thorn in the Leipzig defence with his understanding of his teammate's movement. Runs were timed to perfection and an impressive showing was rewarded with a goal.

6. Midfielders

Ander Herrera (CM) - 7/10 - A much-improved display tonight. Was at his pesty best and a key contributor to a fantastic display off the ball from the French champions. Took up an advanced position in the right half-space when his side had the ball which caused Leipzig problems.

Marquinhos (CM) - 8/10 - Diligent in front of a superb PSG back two and set the tone with a superbly taken glancing header for the game's opener. Tidy. Efficient. Stout.

Leandro Paredes (CM) - 8/10 - Efficient circulating possession and showed off technical prowess with penetrative vertical passes into likes of Neymar between the lines. Made it look easy at times.

7. Forwards

Angel Di Maria (RW) - 9/10 - Made a huge impact and his presence certainly contributed to a more harmonious attacking display from Les Parisiens. His cross for Marquinhos' opener was splendid before Neymar's brilliance saw the Argentine get on the scoresheet himself. Importance out of possession can't be understated.

Neymar (CF) - 8/10 - Imperious. Shone as the false nine taking up smart, dangerous positions behind Kampl before embarking on typical mesmeric runs. Moment of genius set-up Di Maria's strike. Watch out, Bayern.

Kylian Mbappe (LW) - 8/10 - Relationship with Neymar proved overwhelming once more. Was a constant threat in behind with sheer speed and supreme off-the-ball movement. An excellent performance deserving of a goal.
