Former Manchester United prodigy Ravel Morrison has joined the 11th professional club of his career thus far - Dutch outfit ADO Den Haag.

The 27-year-old was released by Sheffield United in the summer after enduring a forgettable loan spell at Middlesbrough.

Morrison has travelled across the globe in a bid to revive his career after being touted at United as one of the most naturally gifted footballers of his generation. He failed to deliver anywhere close to his projected heights, however, failing to score more than six goals at any of the ten clubs he's been at up to this point in his career so far.

After departing United in 2012 as a teenager, Morrison has enjoyed spells at the likes of West Ham, Queens Park Rangers, Lazio, Östersunds FK and Mexican outfit Atlas.

And now it's time for the 27-year-old to tackle Holland, where he'll team up with former Tottenham boss Martin Jol at ADO Den Haag.

Speaking about the move (via the BBC), Morrison said: "I have a very positive impression of this club. I hope to be able to make a lot of playing minutes here. I had to have quite a bit of patience last season but football is really my passion. I would also like to show that to the fans."

Jol, who's the club's technical director, also spoke of his excitement at working with Morrison and is keen to extract every ounce of ability from him as he approaches his prime.

“We are convinced that with his great talent he can not only help our club, but also help himself to get ahead again,” said the Dutchman.

The Eredivisie outfit have endured a difficult start to the 2020/21 campaign, losing their opening two league encounters. The club parted ways with Alan Pardew back in April and now have Serbian Aleksandar Rankovic at the helm.
