Rangers team news

Rangers manager Malky Thompson confirmed that his side has a 'clean bill of health' heading into Saturday's fixture, after a handful of players missed last weekend's draw with Glasgow City through illness.

Kathryn Hill is edging back to full fitness, while Megan Bell is also closing in on a return to action, having missed Euro 2022 with a torn hamstring. Jane Ross remains a long-term injury absentee.

Celtic team news

Celtic will be boosted by the return of the in-form Jacynta Galabadaarachchi following her suspension. Clarissa Larisey is also back in contention to start, having been rested last time out against Hearts after returning from international duty with Canada.

Rangers vs Celtic score prediction

Rangers are the favourites for the SWPL title this term, having not lost a league match since the 2020/21 season. However, Celtic were the only Scottish team to beat Rangers last season, knocking their Old Firm rivals out of the Scottish Cup fourth round with a 2-1 victory.

Rangers were held by Glasgow City last time out, and with just a single point separating the two sides, Saturday promises to be a tight encounter. Rangers should just edge it - but it will be a hard fought, narrow victory.

Prediction: Rangers 2-1 Celtic
