Rangers welcome Germany's RB Leipzig to Ibrox for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday evening.

The Gers lost 1-0 in Leipzig last week but have built their run to the competition's final four upon their home form. In the Europa League this season, Rangers have won five of their seven home matches compared to just one in eight on the road.

Here's the XI Giovanni van Bronckhorst may deploy on Thursday evening.

Rangers predicted lineup vs RB Leipzig (4-2-3-1)

1.

Allan McGregor (GK) - Rangers' 40-year-old number one was closer to his fourth birthday than his third when RB Leipzig's manager Domenico Tedesco was born.

James Tavanier (RB) - The joint-top scorer in the Europa League this season has netted all six of his competition goals in the knockout stages.

Connor Goldson (CB) - No player in the entire Europa League has been in the right place at the right time to clear the ball more often than the 29-year-old (per FBref).

Calvin Bassey (CB) - The front-foot defender can be a divisive figure but was bestowed the honour of Rangers' Men's Young Player of the Year award this season.

Borna Barisic (LB) - While he may not fill spectators with confidence after every touch, the Croatian international has started each of the club's last six matches across three different competitions.

John Lundstram (CM) - This time last season, Lundstram had lost his starting place at Sheffield United, a side that had relegation confirmed as early as mid-April. Fast forward 12 months and he may well be lining up for a major European semi-final. Go figure.

Ryan Jack (CM) - Persistent calf problems plagued the first half of Jack's season but the Aberdeen-born midfielder has since started all seven of the club's Europa League knockout ties.

Joe Aribo (AM) - The only player to feature in each one of Rangers' Europa League games this season is unlikely to have that streak broken on Thursday.

Scott Wright (RW) - Injuries to the likes of Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe have opened an avenue of opportunity for the once sparingly used forward.

Fashion Sakala (ST) - The nippy 25-year-old wreaked such havoc in Sunday's Old Firm draw after he was shifted through the middle that Van Bronckhorst may be tempted to start Sakala there.

Ryan Kent (LW) - In 2016, Kent spent half a season on loan in Germany with Freiburg, Leipzig's upcoming opponents in the DFB Pokal final.
