Paris Saint-Germain return to Ligue 1 action on Sunday with a clash against relegation-scrapping Lorient at the Parc des Princes.

The league-leaders have nothing except the Ligue 1 title left to play for after exiting the Coupe de France and Champions League at the round of 16.

Lorient's survival is still very much in the balance. The Brittany-based club sit just one point above Saint-Etienne in the relegation play-off position with nine games of the campaign left to play, which include meetings with all three inhabitants of the division's bottom trio.

Here's all you need to know about Sunday's game.

PSG team news

One of Sergio Ramos' four Ligue 1 appearances this season came in the reverse fixture against Lorient. It ended early as the perennial injured centre-back picked up his 27th career red card.

Ramos has finally returned to full training ahead of Sunday's fixture after recovering from his third major injury since swapping the Spanish capital for its French counterpart.

His former Real Madrid teammate Keylor Navas has flu and Angel Di Maria is carrying a thigh injury. Full-backs Juan Bernat (calf) and Layvin Kurzawa (back) are doubtful while Ander Herrera is continuing his recovery from viral conjunctivitis.

Lorient team news

Lorient's 35-year-old captain Fabien Lemoine is a doubt with a calf injury that has allowed him just two Ligue 1 appearances since Halloween.

Regular substitute Stephane Diarra isn't expected to add to his tally of nine appearances off the bench this weekend as he nurses a muscle injury while the lesser-used Samuel Loric has been kept out of the last five matchday squads with a knee problem.

PSG vs Lorient head-to-head record

Lorient had the buckets of water ready as they delivered the "Cold Shower for the PSG Galactiques" as France's Journal du Dimanche proclaimed in 2011. The plucky visitors inflicted a shock 1-0 defeat at the Parc des Princes in PSG's first game under Qatari ownership after a summer in which €83m was spent.

However, that is the last time Lorient have recorded a victory against PSG in the French capital. Christophe Pelissier's side have taken four points from their last two top-flight meetings with the division's behemoths but both of those were on home soil.

PSG vs Lorient score prediction

PSG's season may have hit a new low with a pitiful defeat to Monaco before the international break, yet the capital side do still boast an imperious home record.

Mauricio Pochettino has steered PSG to 34 of a possible 36 Ligue 1 points at the Parc des Princes this season, comfortably the best home record in Europe's top five leagues.

Lorient, the division's worst side on the road, aren't exactly favourites to make it three away wins on the spin against PSG.

Prediction: PSG 3-1 Lorient
