Paris Saint-Germain will qualify for the last eight of the Champions League should they avoid defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday.

A stunning strike from Kylian Mbappe gave PSG a deserved lead to head to the Santiago Bernabeu with, but their job is far from done.

Mauricio Pochettino could silence a lot of critics by navigating Les Parisiens past Real - here's who he could select to kill the tie.

PSG predicted lineup vs Real Madrid - Champions League

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Gianluigi Donnarumma (GK) - The Italian should step in for Keylor Navas and expect a busy evening.

Thilo Kehrer (RB) - With Achraf Hakimi injured, the versatile German is likely to be given the nod at right-back.

Marquinhos (CB) - Will be eager to prove that he's the best Brazilian centre-back on the pitch.

Presnel Kimpembe (CB) - Expected to come in for Abdou Diallo on the left side.

Nuno Mendes (LB) - Juan Bernat was omitted from PSG's Champions League squad, so Mendes' place should be assured.

2. Midfielders

Danilo Pereira (CM) - With three goals in his last five games, Danilo comes into the second leg as one of PSG's most in-form threats going forward.

Idrissa Gueye (CM) - Expect Pochettino to double up on aggressive central midfielders in this one.

Marco Verratti (CM) - PSG fans and neutrals everywhere will have their fingers crossed that the Italian doesn't pick up an injury prior to kick-off.

3. Forwards

Angel Di Maria (CF) - Kylian Mbappe has picked up a knock, so expect him to feature from the bench instead and former Galactico Di Maria to start.

Lionel Messi (CF) - The Argentine has faced Real Madrid more often than any other team in his career, winning 20 of his 46 encounters with them and scoring 26 goals.

Neymar (LW) - Critics will have their knives out if Neymar flakes on the big stage for PSG once again. At least he's actually fit to play from the off this time.
