Paris Saint-Germain have launched their new home shirt for the 2021/22 season, continuing the Jordan x PSG partnership for a fourth year. It will also be the first PSG home shirt to feature the Nike brand’s iconic ‘Jumpman’ logo in place of the usual swoosh.
The new jersey retains a classic PSG feel with the navy blue, red and white, although it is the first shirt since the 2009/10 season that doesn’t feature a recognisable red ‘Hechter’ stripe on the front.
Instead, the new kit takes unique inspiration from famous Chicago Bulls uniforms of the 1990s that were worn by Michael Jordan. The diamond side panels on the shorts and red piping on the neck and sleeve cuffs bring ‘classic basketball iconography’ to the football pitch.
PSG say the collection ‘pays homage to youth and its diversity, eclecticism and energy’, with the wider range featuring various training and lifestyle wear, as well as Jordan shoes.
