Paris Saint-Germain have announced a new partnership with online sneaker brand GOAT that will see the company become their primary shirt sleeve sponsor.

GOAT have signed a multi-year deal with PSG as an official partner, and from July 1, 2022, they will have their brand stamped on club merchandise, including training, warm-up and matchday shirts.

The company has over 40 million members online from 170 countries across the world and this deal with PSG could bring a major footfall for them in terms of branding and sales.

In an announcement video, Lionel Messi - often hailed as 'the greatest of all time' or 'the GOAT' - can be seen showing off this new sleeve design alongside teammates Neymar, Marco Verratti, Georginio Wijnaldum and Achraf Hakimi.

GOAT's chief partnerships officer Marc Armstrong discussed the deal with PSG's official channels.

"We are delighted to welcome GOAT into the Paris Saint-Germain family. Thanks to this partnership, GOAT joins the tight list of club partners present on our emblematic jerseys," he said.

"GOAT is the ideal partner for the club. It reinforces our position as an icon of sport and style with fans around the world. Together, we will develop exciting and creative experiences to delight fans everywhere."

Eddy Lu, co-founder and CEO of the GOAT group added: "Paris Saint-Germain is one of the most influential clubs in the world and we are delighted to partner with them to continue building our global community.

"We bring together two great lifestyle brands to unite and mobilize communities of athletes, creatives and fans around the world. This partnership plays to each other's strengths, with innovative collaborations in the months and years to come."
