Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Presnel Kimpembe has admitted he wants answers over his future role at the club, with Chelsea tipped to move for the Frenchman.

Chelsea have lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen already this summer, while Cesar Azpilicueta remains keen on a move to Barcelona, so the Blues could find themselves needing a number of defensive reinforcements.

Sevilla's Jules Kounde is expected to be one of the club's first signings of the summer but Kimpembe is reported to be on Thomas Tuchel's shortlist as well, with the former PSG boss keen on a reunion at Stamford Bridge.

Kimpembe, who has two years left on his contract in Paris, recently stressed his love for the Ligue 1 champions but admitted he wants talks with new sporting advisor Luis Campos to figure out what the future will look like. He has since revealed what was said during that meeting.

"I said that I was reaching 27 years of age and that my next contract would be decisive," Kimpembe said. "I want to be able to know what the project of the club will look like. I didn’t say anything wrong.

"I joined the club when I was nine or ten years old. I think it’s a legitimate question to ask my club about the future project and what role I am going to be given.

"At the moment, I am focused on the France team."

Listen now to 90min's brand new podcast, Talking Transfers, with Scott SaundersGraeme Bailey & Toby Cudworth. This week Harry Symeou steps in for Scott and the trio discuss the futures of Bukayo Saka, Rafael Leao, Romelu Lukaku, Kalvin Phillips, Youri Tielemans, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Raphinha, Gabriel Jesus and more.

It's a summer of change for both PSG and Chelsea. Over in Paris, Campos is now leading the business and 90min understands that manager Mauricio Pochettino is set to be officially relieved of his duties in the coming days.

Kimpembe is evidently keen to understand what the future holds for him at the club, and should he decide to leave, there will be no shortage of suitors for the 27-cap France international.
