Premier League results: Gameweek 9
Well, this was a Premier League gameweek which could have major implications at some top clubs, so shocking were the results.
After an entertaining few days of European action, domestic fixtures returned on Friday night as Arsenal overcame Aston Villa 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
The weekend action got off to an exciting start too, with Chelsea putting Norwich to the sword 7-0 on Saturday lunchtime, before Watford secured a massive 5-2 win over Everton.
But if we're honest, no game could get close to the drama that was served up on Sunday, as the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer increased following Manchester United's dismal 5-0 loss to Liverpool.
We're only just catching our breath, but here are all the results from gameweek nine.
Friday
Arsenal 3-1 Aston Villa
Arsenal stretched their unbeaten run to six Premier League games by beating Aston Villa 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners put in a pulsating performance in front of their home faithful, opening the scoring through Thomas Partey - his first for the club. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Emile Smith Rowe were also on target as Arsenal raced into a 3-0 lead against a Villa side who were desperately poor for much of the game.
Jacob Ramsey's excellent finish reduced the arrears, but it was too little, too late for Dean Smith's side.

Saturday
Chelsea 7-0 Norwich City
Chelsea obliterated lowly Norwich City 7-0 to kick off the weekend's action, with Mason Mount netting a hat-trick.
Mount grabbed his first strike inside eight minutes with goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James making it 3-0 before the break.
In the second period Norwich's day got even worse. Ben Chilwell's effort and Max Aarons' own goal made it 5-0 on the hour mark, and then 25 minutes from time Ben Gibson was sent off for two bookable offences in quick succession.
The 10-men Canaries then suffered further humiliation as Mount scored twice more to claim the matchball.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Newcastle United
Crystal Palace were made to rue missed chances again as they fell to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Newcastle.
The Eagles dominated possession but let a string of opportunities go begging. After a goalless first half, Christian Benteke - who also had an effort ruled out following a VAR review - finally opened the scoring with a fine header.
However, Newcastle soon restored parity in spectacular fashion as Callum Wilson netted a superb improvised overhead kick. Palace continued to threaten until the end but ultimately had to settle for a point.

Everton 2-5 Watford
Josh King netted a hat-trick against his former club as Watford secured their first win under Claudio Ranieri with a crazy 5-2 victory over Everton.
The game got off to an electric start when Tom Davies opened the scoring inside three minutes, but King levelled things up soon after. The game rather died down thereafter, but things picked up again on the hour mark and rose to a crescendo.
First, Richarlison haunted his former employers with a fine goal before Watford scored three times in eight minutes to make it 4-2. Two of these strikes came courtesy of hat-trick hero King, with Juraj Kucka grabbing the other before Emmanuel Dennis added some gloss to the scoreline with a fifth.

Leeds 1-1 Wolves
Leeds left it late to salvage an important point against Wolves at Elland Road, with Rodrigo's stoppage time penalty cancelling out Hwang Hee-chan's strike.
Wolves started strongly and took the lead when Hwang reacted quickest in the box to stab home in the tenth minute. They went on to see out the first half comfortably, with Leeds waiting until the second period to take the game to their visitors.
A breakthrough was not forthcoming until Joe Gelhardt was brought down in the dying moments and Rodrigo converted from 12 yards to save the day.

Southampton 2-2 Burnley
Relegation candidates Southampton and Burnley played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at St Mary's on Saturday.
Maxwel Cornet again caught the eye for the Clarets and opened the scoring with a good finish inside 13 minutes. Tino Livramento then levelled things up late in the first half and fellow Chelsea alumnus Armando Broja made it 2-1 just after the break.
Their lead did not last long though, with Cornet striking again before the hour mark to restore parity.

Brighton 1-4 Manchester City
Phil Foden bagged a brace as Manchester City eased to a comfortable 4-1 victory over Brighton on Saturday.
Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring early on, tapping home after an error from Robert Sanchez and Foden then netted twice before the half-hour mark to make it 3-0.
Brighton did enjoy a mini-revival after the break with Alexis Mac Allister netting from the penalty spot, but City restored their three-goal advantage in injury time through Riyad Mahrez, who curled an effort home.

Sunday
Brentford 1-2 Leicester City
James Maddison swept in Leicester's winner with just under 20 minutes remaining to secure three points for the Foxes against a Brentford side unfortunate to lose.
Youri Tielemans had actually given Leicester the lead in west London with a stunning effort in the early stages. Brentford went on to test Kasper Schmeichel, but the hosts did get back on level terms when Mathias Jorgensen equalised from a corner on the hour mark.
But as Brentford then tried to go on and win the game, Leicester struck. Tielemans played in substitute Patson Daka, who in turn fed Maddison to strike the decisive blow.

West Ham 1-0 Tottenham
West Ham enjoyed a statement win over Tottenham at the London Stadium, with Michail Antonio to thank for the only goal of the game in the final 20 minutes.
The result marks the continuation of West Ham’s rise and the victory means it is the best start to the season for a team managed by David Moyes since 2004/05 when he guided Everton to fourth place and the Champions League qualifying rounds.
Tottenham didn’t make the most of the opportunities they had and Antonio was on hand to knock the ball in from a corner to take the points.

Manchester United 0-5 Liverpool
It's a bit tricky to know where to start here. Manchester United were terrible from start to finish, gifting Liverpool two early goals to Naby Keita and Diogo Jota before Mohamed Salah scored a ruthless hat trick.
Paul Pogba came on as a substitute at half time and was sent off about 15 minutes later, with Solskjaer looking an increasingly forlorn figure on the touchline.
Liverpool were brilliant and manager Jurgen Klopp must have been purring watching the way his side eased to an emphatic 5-0 victory in front of a stunned Old Trafford, with many supporters filtering out of the stadium way before full time.
