Premier League results: Gameweek 15
Gameweek 14 only wrapped up on Thursday night but as Jurgen Klopp often reminds us, there is no rest for the wicked in the Premier League.
Things kicked off with five goals in a thrilling London derby on Saturday lunchtime as West Ham saw off Chelsea, while only one late goal separated Liverpool and Wolves.
Sunday saw Ralf Rangnick get his spell as interim Manchester United manager off to the perfect start with a win over Crystal Palace, while Steven Gerrard's fine start to life at Villa Park continued with a win over consistently inconsistent Leicester.
The curtain came down on Gameweek 15 on Monday night with an enthralling encounter at Goodison Park, where Everton finally gave their fans something to cheer with a 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

Saturday 4 December
West Ham 3-2 Chelsea
A month on from beating Liverpool, then failing to win any of their next three domestic matches, an impressive West Ham claimed the scalp of another Premier League title contender when Arthur Masuaku scored a bizarre late winner that looked like a mishit cross.
Thiago Silva put Chelsea into the lead just under half an hour in, but that advantage was erased by Manuel Lanzini from the penalty spot. Mason Mount made it 2-1 in the closing stages of the first half, but again the Hammers got back level through Jarrod Bowen.
Masuaku's decisive goal came with three minutes of the 90 remaining and condemned Chelsea to only their second Premier League defeat of the season.

Wolves 0-1 Liverpool
Liverpool dominated possession and had 17 shots against Wolves. However, only five of those efforts were on target and if it wasn't for a 94th minute winner from cult hero Divock Origi, they would have been held at Molineux.
Liverpool should have scored several long before they did but were denied by a combination of heroic Wolves defending and wayward finishing.
Defeat was harsh on Wolves, who thought they had done enough to earn a point.

Newcastle 1-0 Burnley
Newcastle finally won a Premier League game at the 15th time of asking this season when a single Callum Wilson goal was enough to see off Burnley at St James' Park.
Wilson was quickest to react to a spill from Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope in the closing stages of the first half and it proved to be enough for the three points as the Clarets couldn't mount much threat of their own other than a lot of shots off target.
Pope actually had to be on top form later on to prevent Newcastle extending their lead.

Southampton 1-1 Brighton
Southampton were denied victory in this clash of the Premier League's south coast clubs by a dramatic and controversial 98th minute equaliser.
The Saints had led for more than an hour of play at St Mary's thanks to a first half goal from Armando Broja, but they were unable to build on that lead and it left them vulnerable.
The reason for 10 minutes of stoppage time was Leandro Trossard's lengthy treatment before being stretchered off late on, while Southampton appealed the equaliser because one of their players was down needing treatment when it was scored.
Watford 1-3 Manchester City
Manchester City finished the weekend top of the Premier League thanks to their win over Watford combined with Chelsea's defeat to West Ham earlier in the day.
Bernardo Silva was the star man again for the reigning champions, scoring twice in the 3-1 victory. Raheem Sterling got the first early on and it was 3-0 before Cucho Hernandez was able to pull back a consolation strike for Watford.
The Hornets have come crashing back to earth since thrashing Manchester United last month, with this now a third defeat on the spin.

Sunday 5 December
Tottenham 3-0 Norwich
Tottenham returned to winning Premier League ways with a convincing 3-0 win over a lacklustre Norwich, inflicting a first Canaries defeat on Dean Smith in the process.
Lucas Moura is a player who can be absolutely brilliant or downright shocking for Spurs, and, fortunately for Antonio Conte, it was the former version who rocked up to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Linking up with Son Heung-min, the Brazilian turned on a sixpence before firing a 25-yard rocket into the top corner of Tim Krul's goal to open the scoring after just ten minutes.
Spurs' advantage was then doubled in the second half by Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez, who slashed in after Norwich failed to clear Son's corner, and soon after it was three for Conte's charges as Son fired past Krul after good work from Ben Davies and Oliver Skipp.

Leeds 2-2 Brentford
A dramatic injury-time equaliser from the returning Patrick Bamford earned Leeds a 2-2 draw against Brentford at Elland Road.
Tyler Roberts has received plenty of stick from Leeds' fans in the past, but it was he who opened the scoring against a Brentford side missing Ivan Toney because of a positive Covid-19 diagnosis.
The Welshman got on the end of Raphinha's excellent low cross for the game's opener after 27 minutes, but the hosts failed to kick on and the game turned on its head after Shandon Baptiste's equaliser in the 54th minute.
He drilled into the bottom corner after latching onto Sergi Canos' deflected strike, before the Bees wing-back gave Thomas Frank's side the lead by lofting Bryan Mbeumo's through ball over Illan Meslier.
But there was late drama to come as Bamford, returning after nine games out, netted in the 95th minute to earn Marcelo Bielsa a share of the spoils.

Manchester United 1-0 Crystal Palace
There was huge anticipation at Old Trafford as Ralf Rangnick took charge of Manchester United for the first time as interim manager, and the home supporters left in good spirits after a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The German opted to stick with the same starting XI Michael Carrick had picked for Thursday's 3-2 win over Arsenal, but this time they came up against a well drilled, well organised Palace side managed by Patrick Vieira.
But after labouring to just two shots on target in the first 78 minutes of the game, United made the breakthrough through an unlikely source, midfielder Fred curling a sumptuous effort into the top corner from outside the penalty area.
That proved to be the difference, lifting United up to sixth in the Premier League.

Aston Villa 2-1 Leicester
Aston Villa's clash with Leicester rounded off the action on Sunday, and it didn't take long for the goals to start flowing in the Midlands.
Good work from Patson Daka, handed a rare opportunity to start in the Premier League by Brendan Rodgers, eventually worked an opening for Harvey Barnes, and he superbly steered the ball past Emi Martinez into the far corner to give Leicester an early lead.
But one thing we've all come to learn is that Leicester can't defend set pieces - and that was evidenced by conceding twice to Ezri Konsa, once just after Barnes had scored and again nine minutes into the second half.
The win pops Villa into the top ten in the Premier League standings, ahead of Leicester on goal difference.

Monday 6 December
Everton 2-1 Arsenal
This was incredible encounter, a true advert for the Premier League as they say.
Richarlison had a header disallowed shortly before Martin Odegaard opened the scoring, cooly converting Kieran Tierney's cross to give Arsenal the lead.
Richarlison would again have an Everton strike disallowed, having strayed offside once more, before finally getting on the scoresheet when he nodded in the rebound from Demarai Gray's strike.
It was Gray who would have the final say on the game, sending a screamer beyond Aaron Ramsdale to alleviate some of the pressure building on Toffees manager Rafa Benitez and leave Arsenal stewing over a second defeat in three games.
