Honourable mentions

It's worth mentioning the impact of injuries and international commitments on a player's ranking - or non-ranking in this case. Mohamed Salah, you're clearly not forgotten, you just haven't been around enough of late, or made enough of an impact post-AFCON.

Jarrod Bowen, Rodrigo Muniz and Matheus Cunha, your goals are also not overlooked but there's so many prolific form players right now.

10. Son Heung-min (down 2)

There were genuine concerns that Tottenham's attack would fall apart post-Harry Kane.

But those fears were quickly put to bed by Son Heung-min's return to his brilliant best - form that got the best out of the players around him. The South Korean's displays between now and the end of the season will be key to Spurs' European aspirations.

9. Anthony Gordon (new entry)

Anthony Gordon undoubtedly has an eye on making England's Euro 2024 squad, such has been the quality and consistency of his displays for Newcastle.

The dismantling of Tottenham at St James' Park owed much to Gordon's brilliance, with Pedro Porro's torrid afternoon subsequently ended early by Ange Postecoglou.

8. Dominic Solanke (new entry)

Dominic Solanke's ability is often overlooked because he plays for Bournemouth. Sounds harsh to say, but that's the reality of the situation.

His regular goals also seem to fade into the background because of Ollie Watkins' rise to superstardom and the endless speculation about Ivan Toney. But carry on the way he's going, Solanke is going to end the 2023/24 season with 20+ goals.

Pretty impressive, that.

7. Kai Havertz (down 2)

It's taken far too long for Kai Havertz to catch fire in English football but finally the German is starting to show what he can do.

Arsenal are in red-hot form, scoring goals for fun in 2024, and Havertz has decided to get in on the act with some tremendous displays up front. Long may it continue from a Gunners perspective.

6. Erling Haaland (up 1)

Erling Haaland still has the best goals per minute ratio in the Premier League, but the Norwegian has recently shown a vulnerability to his game - to the surprise of absolutely everybody.

Chances are passing him by - which never used to happen - but he's still ruthlessly efficient for the most part. Ollie Watkins, Cole Palmer and Mohamed Salah are giving him a run for his money in the leading scorer stakes, but you wouldn't want to bet against Haaland.

5. Phil Foden (down 1)

A player in with a real chance of winning the PFA Player of the Year award is Manchester City's Phil Foden.

He's been outstandingly good all season long for City, with his increasing influence on proceedings apparent with every passing week.

4. Alexander Isak (up 2)

Newcastle United have been badly affected by injuries this season, with Alexander Isak enduring his own spell on the sidelines.

But the Swede has always come back into the side and hit the ground running, with a flurry of recent goals against Wolves, Chelsea, West Ham (a brace) and Everton proof of how ruthless a finisher he is.

He could be the difference maker for the Magpies in their bid to get back into Europe.

3. Bukayo Saka (down 2)

Bukayo Saka's is brimming with confidence at Arsenal, who are powering towards a first Premier League title in 20 years after a superb run of recent results.

Saka is a constant goal threat, provides chances galore for his teammates, and has leadership qualities beyond his tender years.

2. Ollie Watkins (up 1)

Ollie Watkins' credentials continue to be questioned at England level, but there's no disputing what he's achieving at Aston Villa.

Five goals in his last three Premier League games - against Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Luton Town - has taken the 28-year-old to 16 strikes for the season, and he's added ten assists for good measure.

1. Cole Palmer (up 1)

Chelsea are probably the most frustrating side to support around the world currently, but there's nothing to complain about when you individually look at Cole Palmer.

He's shown nerves of steel at important moments, singlehandedly dragging Mauricio Pochettino's side along with truck loads of goals and assists.
