The Premier League's Gameweek 28 action begins on Saturday with Manchetser United hosting Everton, while Arsenal will be in action later in the day.

There will be just 10 games left for most teams after this weekend's action so we are heading into the business end, and every team is now certain of what they are working towards. Man Utd have an outside chance of a top-four finish but can't afford a slip-up against Everton, and Arsenal need to beat Brentford so that they can move ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City before Sunday's huge match.

It is a big day at the bottom of the table too, as Luton Town travel to Crystal Palace in a game they need to win, while Sheffield United are away at Bournemouth. There could be plenty of movement at both ends of the table.

Here is 90min's guide to the Premier League's Saturday fixtures.

Man Utd vs Everton

  • Location: Manchester, England
  • Stadium: Old Trafford
  • Date: Saturday 9 March
  • Kick-off Time: 12:30 GMT / 07:30 ET / 04:30 PT
  • Referee: Simon Hooper
  • VAR: David Coote

Manchester United may have seen their Champions League hopes disappear already with those defeats against Fulham and Manchester City, but Erik ten Hag's side need to try and re-find their great form which put them back in the conversation in the first place.

Facing Everton at home is an ideal task in the sense that Sean Dyche's side have not won in the Premier League since they beat Burnley in December 2023, but there is always an edge to these games that makes you think Everton can get something.

The Red Devils will still be without Rasmus Hojlund who is not quite fit enough to return, but Marcus Rashford will be available. An early goal would do Man Utd the world of good here as Everton have struggled for goals all season.

Crystal Palace vs Luton Town

  • Location: London, England
  • Stadium: Selhurst Park
  • Date: Saturday 9 March
  • Kick-off Time: 15:00 GMT / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT
  • Referee: Sunny Singh Gill
  • VAR: Peter Bankes

This is a really big one for Luton Town. If they are to climb out of the bottom three, they need to beat the teams who are floating above them. Crystal Palace look to be a better team under Oliver Glasner but they are certainly beatable and Luton need to start winning games rather than settling for draws.

They were beaten by a late Aston Villa goal last time out which is the sort of situation that badly damages morale in a relegation battle. Rob Edwards looks a bit more stressed at this stage of the season which is understandable, but a win here would make him feel a lot better. This will be a historic game regardless of the scoreline as Sunny Singh Gill is becoming the first British South Asian to referee a Premier League match.

Bournemouth vs Sheffield United

  • Location: Bournemouth, England
  • Stadium: Vitality Stadium
  • Date: Saturday 9 March
  • Kick-off Time: 15:00 GMT / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT
  • Referee: Anthony Taylor
  • VAR: Michael Salisbury

Sheffield United fans have been feeling sorry for themselves all season, and for good reason. There is a certain irony in Bournemouth not winning in the Premier League since December 26, and then getting a win just before playing the team that needs points more than anyone else.

The Cherries will certainly be the favourites to make it back-to-back wins as Chris Wilder's side look utterly hopeless right now. Having just been beaten 6-0 by Arsenal, their main fear will be another heavy beating from a Bournemouth side that may have re-found its mojo.

Wolves vs Fulham

  • Location: Wolverhampton, England
  • Stadium: Molineux Stadium
  • Date: Saturday 9 March
  • Kick-off Time: 15:00 GMT / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT
  • Referee: Tony Harrington
  • VAR: John Brooks

Wolves are still harbouring hopes of getting their hands on some European football this season as they are four points away from West Ham in seventh place, but they come up against a Fulham side that has now won two games on the bounce.

The Cottagers beat Man Utd and Brighton recently which is very impressive, and they have actually won three of their past four Premier League matches. They are only three points behind Wolves so if this form is set to continue, perhaps Marco Silva's side are in the conversation for a European spot as well.

Arsenal vs Brentford

  • Location: London, England
  • Stadium: Emirates Stadium
  • Date: Saturday 9 March
  • Kick-off Time: 17:30 GMT / 12:30 ET / 09:30 PT
  • Referee: Rob Jones
  • VAR: Paul Tierney

On the face of it, this doesn't seem like too big of a game. In the context of the whole weekend, though, there is a huge amount of pressure on Arsenal. With Liverpool and Man City facing each other on Sunday afternoon, Arsenal have to seize the opportunity to make up ground on one or both of them.

The Gunners will be top of the Premier League if they win against Brentford, and given how they have been dispatching of mid-lower table teams recently, it would take real bravery to bet against them. Brentford do need points though, as they are only six points above Luton right now.
