A healthy slate of Saturday fixtures means there are just two games for Premier League lovers to enjoy on Sunday, but there's a biggie at the Etihad.

Champions Manchester City host Manchester United as they attempt to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool after the Reds notched a last-gasp victory at Nottingham Forest. United, meanwhile, still harbour hopes of a top-four finish despite last weekend's setback.

While the Manchester derby will dominate much of Sunday's discourse, there's another bout to enjoy beforehand with Burnley, who desperately need three points, hosting an out-of-sorts Bournemouth.

Here's everything you need to know about Sunday's Premier League fixtures.

  • Location: Burnley, England
  • Stadium: Turf Moor
  • Date: Sunday 3 March
  • Kick-off Time: 13:00 GMT / 08:00 ET / 05:00 PT
  • Referee: David Coote
  • VAR: Jarred Gillett

Andoni Iraola recorded his first Premier League win as Bournemouth boss at the tenth attempt in the reverse fixture, and the Spaniard could do with another three points this weekend with the Cherries enduring a pretty wretched 2024 thus far.

Bournemouth are winless in the new year and they aren't completely out of sight in regards to the relegation dogfight. The Cherries are just seven points clear of the drop.

However, Burnley have struggled all season, rarely laying a glove on opponents at Turf Moor. The Clarets have recorded just five home points this term - comfortably the worst record in the division. Safety looks a long way off for Vincent Kompany's side, who last tasted victory on 23 December.

  • Location: Manchester, England
  • Stadium: Etihad Stadium
  • Date: Sunday 3 March
  • Kick-off Time: 15:30 GMT / 10:30 ET / 07:30 PT
  • Referee: Andy Madley
  • VAR: Stuart Attwell

City's victory at Old Trafford earlier this season was nothing short of a walk in the park, and there's no denying the major gulf between the two Manchester clubs heading into this fixture.

The defeat that always looked around the corner finally arrived last weekend for United, who were beaten at home by Fulham. Erik ten Hag will surely have to change tack if his side are to avoid a mauling at the Etihad on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's side had struggled for fluency at times to kick off the new year, scoring just three goals across the last three league games, but their 6-2 beatdown of Luton Town in midweek was a reminder of what they can do at their apex. United, however, surely won't be so bold with their approach out of possession.

While United would be content with a draw, City need three points to ensure they keep pace with Liverpool ahead of a mouth-watering trip to Anfield next Sunday.
