There are three games to enjoy on Sunday in the Premier League. One of them is a really exciting match, too.

Two early games are up first, one of them featuring Premier League champions, Manchester City. They are trying to continue their ruthless domination of the English top flight, while two other teams who are keen to show they can rival Pep Guardiola's side for the title are also in action.

Here is everything you need to know about each of the Premier League games taking place on Sunday.

  • Location: Sheffield, England
  • Stadium: Bramhall Lane
  • Date: Sunday 27 August
  • Kick-off Time: 14:00 BST / 09:00 ET / 06:00 PT
  • Referee: Jarred Gillet
  • VAR: Simon Hooper

Many fans are awaiting the day this season when Manchester City lose a league game but they will probably be waiting well beyond this trip to Sheffield United. That being said, City are missing head coach Pep Guardiola due to back surgery.

There is little reason to think that will affect Man City, but we should get another glimpse into how they are dealing tactically with the injury to Kevin De Bruyne. Sheffield United will have a tough time here, even as the home side.

  • Location: Burnley, England
  • Stadium: Turf Moor
  • Date: Sunday 27 August
  • Kick-off Time: 14:00 BST / 09:00 ET / 06:00 PT
  • Referee: Michael Salisbury
  • VAR: Darren Bond

Aston Villa have had two incredibly contrasting results and performances so far this season, so your guess is as good as ours as to how well they will do away at Turf Moor.

Burnley are something of an unknown quantity but in a different way given they have only played one game so far this season. Their fixture with Luton was postponed so they have only had one outing so far, a defeat to Manchester City on the opening day.

  • Location: Newcastle, England
  • Stadium: St James' Park
  • Date: Sunday 27 August
  • Kick-off Time: 16:30 BST / 11:30 ET / 08:30 PT
  • Referee: John Brooks
  • VAR: Stuart Attwell

This is certainly the game of the weekend in the Premier League and one that will garner a huge amount of attention. Both teams are stacked with attacking talent and play entertaining football and the atmosphere at St James' Park will be raucous.

Liverpool fans may get a chance to see Wataru Endo from the start for the first time with more defensive stability needed for this match. Newcastle will have put the 1-0 loss to Man City behind them and will think they can exploit some weaknesses in this Liverpool team.
