West Ham, Bournemouth, Southampton, Everton and Nottingham Forest have all shown an interest in bringing Andre Ayew back to the Premier League, 90min understands.

The 33-year-old, who scored for Ghana against Portugal at the 2022 World Cup but also missed a crucial penalty against Uruguay, is a free agent after terminating his contract at Qatari side Al Sadd.

Ayew previously spent six years in England, sandwiching two spells at Swansea with a relatively unsuccessful 18-month stint at West Ham, and also spent time at Turkish giants Fenerbahce before heading off to Qatar.

But he could make a return to the Premier League as the January transfer window draws to a close, with a number of sides looking to strengthen their attacking options to stave off the threat of relegation.

Sources have confirmed to 90min that West Ham, Bournemouth, Southampton, Everton and Nottingham Forest have all shown interest in signing Ayew, with time running out to conclude deals for other targets.

Listen now as Scott Saunders hosts Graeme Bailey and Toby Cudworth to discuss why Joao Cancelo looks set to join Bayern Munich on loan from Man City, Arsenal's ongoing pursuit of Moises Caicedo & the futures of Pedro Porro, Enzo Fernandez, Youri Tielemans and more.

Ayew's maiden season in the Premier League saw him bag 12 goals in 34 appearances for Swansea, and that prompted West Ham to pay £20m for his services in 2016. But after netting just nine times for the Hammers, he made a deadline day return to Wales as West Ham managed to recoup the majority of the fee they'd paid.

Swansea were unable to preserve their Premier League status after Ayew's return, though he did again become a prolific goalscorer at Championship level, and the goals have continued to flow during his two-year stint at Al Sadd.

Ayew is also expected to attract interest from Ligue 1, with a successful eight-year stint at Marseille preceding his time in England.
