The Premier League have revealed their eight-man shortlist for April's EA Sports Player of the Month award.

The list is headlined by record-breaker Erling Haaland, teammate Kevin De Bruyne and Newcastle United strike duo Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.

Haaland scored a pair of braces against Southampton and Leicester before adding one goal and two assists in their crucial win over Arsenal. He rounded off April by tying the record for most goals in a Premier League season with a penalty at Fulham

Meanwhile, De Bruyne registered three goals and three assists and was the driving force behind that Arsenal victory.

On Tyneside, Isak and Wilson have been playing well with and without each other - the Swede notched four goals and an assist, while the England international bagged an astonishing eight goals and one assist.

Also up for the award is Crystal Palace's Ebere Eze, who has scored four times since Roy Hodgson returned to the dugout.

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins is on the shortlist after scoring five times and laying on one assist, as is Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke following a series of match-winning performances to ease the Cherries' relegation fears.

Rounding off the shortlist is Liverpool's Diogo Jota after ending his lengthy goal drought in style, grabbing two braces against Leeds and Nottingham Forest before scoring a stoppage time winner in their thrilling triumph over Tottenham.
