Reigning European champions Portugal did well to even make it out of their group given they were drawn alongside the two most recent World Cup winners France and Germany.

However, their third-place finish means they've been handed the unenviable task of facing number one-ranked side in the world Belgium in the last 16.

Fernando Santos' men will need to be on top form if they're to make it through to the quarter-final and continue their bid to retain their crown, and here's how 90min thinks Portugal will line up for the clash...

Portugal predicted lineup vs Belgium - Euro 2020

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Rui Patricio (GK) - Produced one of the saves of the tournament last time out against France as he denied Paul Pogba and then Antoine Griezmann, and will likely need to be just as sharp to keep Belgium at bay.

Nelson Semedo (RB) - The Wolves full-back's defensive nous has been called into question at times but he looked very good against Kylian Mbappe in Portugal's last outing.

Ruben Dias (CB) - Has looked a little less solid than we've become used to since his move to Manchester City, but is still his side's most important defender.

Pepe (CB) - Even at the grand old age of 107 he's still churning out decent displays and so far at Euro 2020 he's looked pretty reliable.

Raphael Guerreiro (LB) - Has been preferred to starlet Nuno Mendes on the left-hand side of defence this tournament and is likely to be given the nod again with the youngster struggling with a muscle injury.

2. Midfielders

Danilo Pereira (CM) - Should be fine to take his place in the starting XI despite being on the receiving end of a punch from Hugo Lloris against France that even Deontay Wilder would have been proud of.

Renato Sanches (CM) - Has reignited his career since his move to Lille and could be about to earn himself another big-money move this summer following some brilliant performances at Euro 2020.

Bruno Fernandes (CM) - Dropped for Joao Moutinho against France, but the Wolves midfielder was relatively ineffective and so Fernandes is likely to come back into the midfield.

3. Forwards

Bernardo Silva (RW) - Gave the French left-backs the run-around last time out (yes that's plural, there were three of them over the course of 90 minutes) and his work rate is vital to his team.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) - Equalled Ali Daei's international goalscoring record with a brace against France and if he can bag his 110th goal for Portugal on Sunday he'll hold the record outright.

Diogo Jota (LW) - Hasn't been at his brilliant best so far this tournament and Portugal will certainly need him to be on Sunday.
